Thank you for thinking of me however my spinning skills are not great and I would hate to give people unevenly spun yarn
After a very challenging few [STRIKE]months[/STRIKE] weeks I am finally going to have a bit of a break and am planning on spending the next two weeks relaxing and finding my feet again, thank goodness.
The weather here has been bright but bitter the last couple of days and if it holds I might even get out and get some gardening done :j the digging over that the boys did has killed off a lot of the weeds and I am keen to clear the rest out before they take hold again.
Not too sure about when to plant seeds as the weather seems very up in the air again?? Maybe I could start some in the house, although the light is poor and I would rather not but I am conscious that time is ticking. There is still the greenhouse to fix and the shed to clear and decorate but I am not going to get myself strung out over pleasantries
The last couple of days I have been cleaning and clearing and the house is beginning to feel calm and organised (ish) again which is making me feel more at ease. The bedrooms are a bit of a riot but they will be sorted out in due course.
Now I think I am going to relax with a cuppa and since Rozee brought it to mind I may just get my wheel out and spin .......Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
I'm half glad the weather has been so awful as it wouldn't have been possible to implement all my fanciful seeding plans anyway. I try to find a silver lining... It's been glorious here today. I'd be happy with a bit more of this,.0

Alfie, I am glad to hear your loved ones are on the mend, all be it slowly.
Sadly we have no interesting on unusual road signs here
Rozee I spend many, many happy hours planning my garden and the planting etc and I then plant up oodles of seeds, where I fall down is keeping them going until their are productive. It is as if I run out of enthusiasm by the early summer :rotfl:
I didn't manage to spin, a glass of something chilled and chocolate got in my wayTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Good to hear that alfie & Rummer have been able to come up for air.
We'd like to take a day or two off, but the jobs we've not done keep beckoning. We've ended up doing the things we should have done months ago, literally at the last minute.
One postponed job is cutting back the elm hedge on the garden side. The top & t'other side were done by tractor in the autumn, but the garden side needs humans. Bearing in mind it's been a windy day and under 5c, standing atop a ladder hasn't been much fun. We're half way through, so that job will get done, but the second half of the orchard, which was due to be pruned, is going to be missed out.

DD2 and SiL brought the GrandTwins over this afternoon, they hope to get off to the caravan tomorrow, but one of the Twins had decidedly upset guts, so not sure if it will happen. (update DD2 phoned OH to say Twin threw up everywhere when they got home so even less sure they'll get away now)
We have dear Brodie Cat to look after while they are away. (Or in the updated version possibly while they are all sick  )
Brodie is very elderly and frail now, I was shocked at how thin he is. _pale_ But he's been purring when I've stroked under his chin and behind his ears, and he's discovered where the gas fire is (we lit it specially for him). And he wolfed down a few little bits of smoked salmon and DEFINITELY enjoyed that! :j Have a bit left still, so he'll have a bit of a treat tomorrow and the next day too. Tonight we're going to have some wild sea bass, so we'll cut off a bit for him, OH will break it all up very carefully to make sure there aren't any bones. Then Easter Sunday we're having duck (crown of duck from Aldi) so Brodikins will have a bit of that too. He's already had a bit of down time on our bed while the sun was shining in on him. We hope to spoil him as much as we can as this may be his last visit to us. He's such a sweetheart, I intend to enjoy his visit as much as possible.0 -
