Hello all! I haven't been here for almost a year
been so busy just keeping my head above water, not made ANY progress towards my dream and the situ is about to get worse with all the forthcoming cuts, welfare reforms etc...
Anyway, reading reading reading and wanted to reply to this...COOLTRIKERCHICK wrote: »Went to the dentist again yesturday, and she inected my front bottom teeth for a under the gum clean:o, yesturday i felt as though my bottom jaw was about 2 foot long, and today my jaw is aching something cronic....
I had AWFUL gum problems throughout all last year, and the above is just one treatment I had, but WITHOUT any injections. I had my entire top and bottom sets of teeth cleaned below the gumline TWICE (2 appointments a week apart) without any pain relief.
Apparantly my dentist couldn't offer or do any more than what she did as I am an NHS patient and anything more would have to be done under a private appointment, at the cost of £500 upwards.
Just another daydream to try to achieve!0 -

Me neither.
Maggie one of my elderly cats is very frail now too & he gets all sorts of treats as well. He sleeps on our bed with fat cat.
Rummer I haven't done any gardening this year as it's so cold the grounds like concrete.0 -
No, I missed it too... darn!
Nothing happening here, market is dead according to the agent. Only another couple of weeks and it's likely to be taken off, and we'll decide what to do next."...And if it don't feel good, what are you doing it for?" - Robbie Williams - 'Candy'0 -
Just spent half an hour in the garden, well wrapped but its perishing out there. Spring bulbs still struggling, 2 beds of bugle havent even started to grow the flower spikes. Rhubarb growing but leaf edges browned and wilting.
With the prolonged cold and night time frosts I havent started tender plants in the GH.
I'll go back into hibernation for another week or two!0 -

Darn, missed it too. Let's hope whatever it is, it all works out for you CTC.
-4C this morning and snow flurries here on and off all morning. Afternoon was blazing sunshine and a very comfortable 69.7F in the conservatory, so caught up on my gardening magazine reading. Must not sow any more veg seeds...no sign of any peppers or onions germinating yet and they've been in for about a week, with bottom heat for the peppers. They are on top of the fish tank :rotfl:(not wasting any heat here).
Best wishes to all who are ailing/have relatives who are ailing.0 -
CTC, well done m'dear!
We have visitors & went out today, passing the site of the action a couple of evenings back... I didn't want to stare like a g h o u l, so I just took one rather bad snap:
Most of the living accommodation appears untouched.
The site isn't in the village and I've never heard it discussed, so I'd guess there haven't been any real problems with it.0 -

she does a lot of animal welfare work and as she is a fairly famous artist she helps to promote anything needing help.
