    I used to keep my horse on farm that had a miniature Dexter and it was beyond cute. When I went into the field they would all come over and demand to be patted. One thing that fascinates me about cows is the fact they can lick inside their nostrils, what a foul habit :rotfl::rotfl:

    I have always thought this but a few vets have told me they are mendicants.

    How is everyone Alfie? ( and this include you too)

    We have another caravan:cool::cool::rotfl::rotfl:

    Its a 2 birth .. swopped it for my v8, 4.6 PETROL :eek: Range Rover..it was parked up for 18 months, it over heated ( unless you had the heaters on full blast) an I couldn't afford to run it, even back and for to work ( which is only a few miles up the road)....sooooo I think we came out of this deal smelling of roses:D:D:D

    It will be great for the smaller shows, and ideal for when we have guests staying over at the ranch;):D

    oooo ye it has a 'proper' toilet room at the end, where you can sit down, and get up, and turn around without banging your elbows etc...:rotfl::rotfl:

    Not sure that Yvette would like being compared with Eric Idle.:rotfl:I think she's more like Graham Chapman, but as he's dead, I think we'll leave that there. :o

    Do you think maybe someone thought that acting the Pearly King's wife might just get a bit too realistic?:rotfl:

    Hello everyone, hope you're all keeping well? Is this cold spell ever going to end? Sometime next week apparently! It's been all ups and downs for everyone :grouphug::grouphug: CTC I missed your hot goss too, not to worry!

    I've been trying to motivate to get stuff done and in fairness I've been quite busy, esp with the longer days, but the clocks changing has thrown me a bit and today my body aches!

    Anyone know how I can put a photo up if I'm not allowed to post attachments?

    I really wanted to show everyone my newest arrivals but I couldn't work out how. Last Wednesday I went to feed everyone and a lamb had just been born, she's a bonny thing. Then that evening a farmer friend offered me a pet lamb so I said yes! I am now bottle feeding him every 4 hours or so, I hoped he'd latch onto mummy ewe but she was having none of it. Other mummy ewe is still huge, no sign, and at least one of my goats looks like she's getting close to kidding, very exciting!

    OH was home on his fortnight's leave, so my routine was all over the place, we got some jobs done even though it was desperately cold most of the time, we had some fun too!

    We also took on two new dogs while he was home - one puppy, 5 months old ish from a local rescue, and another semi trained sheepdog, 18 months old, not good enough to work or compete so needed a farm type home.

    Both dogs are lovely, neither was house trained although we're getting there! The bonus is they're good around the other animals - puppy's a bit excitable but the other dog licks the lamb's face, he's so gentle!

    I've been planning my garden using some books I find amazingly helpful - Sarah Raven's Great Veg Plot, Mark Diacono Taste of the Unexpected, Geoff Hamilton Ornamental Kitchen Garden, Bob Flowerdew No Work Garden. I've also been enjoying GW again, shame there was no hour long Easter Special though?

    I like the idea that the garden will be pretty and productive, I also like their ideas of concentrating your precious time on growing special things that you can't buy, or are expensive, or taste best when absolutely fresh. That's my plan, just need to prise myself out of the house and into the cold again :undecided

    Although the cold weather has been tough on the plus side it's held everything back, it's bought me a bit more time, thank goodness, I'm the worst procrastinator!
