    morning all:j:j

    Choille mink:eek::eek::eek:

Yep the Royal mail Increase has def come at the wrong time for me...BUT it might be the boot up the butt I need to list more..

If possible I will go with royal mail, you need a min of 1000 parcels a year to be elegible for a online business account. so I worked it out over 45 weeks ( deducted 7 weeks for illness, hols, crimbo etc) its approx 23 parcels a week.

I don't know what the % of listings turn into sales these days???? But I should imagine I would have to have at least 60 plus live listings at anyone time.

Basically I need money from my ebay business and private account, for work, and money for the ranch, no pressure:o:o

I have 18 things listed at mo, ( small value items) but normally by now i would have had more watchers/ possible bids.

On the ebay board, they say when there is a free listing weekend, their sales just plummet, and when they list at any other time their sales go back up ( this is private sellers)

Rhiwie does it effect you as a business seller??? choille does it effect you too???

My sales conversion rate of listings averages 50%, so I'd need to be listing 2000 items a year at least, make that 3,000 as some will be multiple sales to same buyer and otheres courier.

Took delivery of 6 x 6 x 6" boxes to fit RMs new size exception, wont be able to fit much in those!!

I'm not quite sure when free listing weekends are on, one of the very few advantages of business seller status is listing at any time, but a private seller can do the same of course.

Had an INR case opened against me last night even though courier confirmed delivery. :(

Cold and wet here, lots of packing to do so will be pretty busy. Come back DW, you're needed here :D

    Mink are bad news :(
We only ever had a problem with one once but that caused enough carnage with the fowl. I hope the gamekeeper gets it for you, choille.

Sad about your caravan neighbours, ukmaggie.

Hope GS continues to improve at a pace now, rhiw.

Rayburn has gone out. It's probably just coked up which happens every now & then as it's usually just on permanent tick-over. DH will give it a clean but if it goes out again we probably won't bother re-lighting it & give it a rest for the so-called summer :D
Shame it's decided to go darned cold again ....... S*ds Law :rotfl:

Not a lot done today. :( Tomorrow looks worse! It was supposed to be 10c in the polytunnel, but my hands were still frozen in an hour or so.

So glad I spent yesterday pm brush cutting and lawn mowing.

I've ordered 130 small native trees from different sources, so hoping none arrives till Monday, at the earliest. They're only going to be heeled-in for a year, as it's better & cheaper that they grow here while waiting to be of planting-out size. ;)

When I was a teenager, I set my dog on a mink. The dog lost! :o

    Bitter wind here too.

I found when we had a Rayburn that we had to clean it all the time as we lived in a wooden house and it was something that I felt was safer to do very often - but that was the flue I kept cleaning as it sooted up.

Dave that sounds horrid with the mink. They are really vicious.
I got told that 'we have our own Mink Officer in Ullapool'. Well I never knew that. I must get out more.

Ebay is very slow at the mo - I have 100 things listed & not a bid. I nearly threw the 'puter out of the window as it kept going off-line when I was listing - t'is so annoying. Okay when it works......but when it don't............

I bet you are pleased Mrs Rhiwie is home, no more packing ebay stuff now:p

Choille, can you pm me your ebay id, I am sure i did have it before...

Looks as though the snow is missing us, but it was REALLY cold and wet today...

I foolishly showed youngest pictures of someone who is selling chichauhua puppies, and now he wants us to have one:eek::eek: I asked him why one of them, as they are sooooo small, and he said it would be a 'Babe Magnet':rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I did tell him 'IF' we had one, the cats would beat it up:rotfl::rotfl:

Well it was a windy, rainy horrible night last night... who has had snow???

Any predictions on how this summer is going to turn out weather wise???:rotfl::rotfl:

This time next week a chapter in my life will be over:o:o, and a new one will begin:beer::beer:

apart from being a bit busy... the weather has given me no incouragement at all to go and start sowing seeds etc.

Hope everyone is ok, hope something comes along soon to cheer us all up ( that could start with a bit of nice weather)

    I've been Money Tipped!
We were rocked by the weather last night. :(. It's just too darn grotty for words. The geese didn't even want to go out so I have compromised with them and they are in the back garden.

Have to admit, fining the dream very difficult ATM. The boiler issues are really getting to me, I have an eye infection and my skin is sore, I just want a nice warm bath (the heating is one thing, but the bath is really no joke) and its hard to do anything with this weather, for example, The room the dogs sleep in is really yucky, but I cannot throw them out in the garden to give it a good clean. Because the house is cold the cats are following me around and leap on me envy time I am still to steal some of my body heat (its not that cold they are just moping.....I have left the electric blanket on lowest for them so they could stay in bed and keep warm. I just long to open the windows, get some fresh air through the house and get all this heating carp sorted out. Because the weather is so grim I cannot get out into the garden or barn and forget about it.

We are looking at a holiday though. It's a big admission that the stress ATM is probably more than we want to be handling.

    LIR

I REALLY wish there was something I could do to help.....

I know you are looking at a holiday, but what about a night away in a nice hotel, see a show or something, or just stay in the hotel room watching tv after a nice soak in the bath...
