i now have another problem re my industrial injury pension.... a medical i had recently has resulted in doctor saying "your fine"... oh , i wish....

Have these things ever been any good? I know when my Dad slipped his disc back in the 70s, he wasn't supposed to do manual work again. The medics issued him a card, showing he was partially disabled.

But as a partially disabled, older person, there were no jobs out there. :( Eventually, he tore up the paperwork and just went back to what he'd always done, being a sort of trouble shooter for a local building firm. He continued doing that part-time long after retirement age too.

I bet I know the answer to that! :rotfl:Still, I hope it doesn't cramp his style too much.....;)

Had a heating engineer man here tonight. Seemed very knowledgeable. No hard sell. He'll quote for a whole range of options, but said we'd have to wait a few weeks, as he had 17 to prepare already, and he only does them at weekends....

EDIT: Alfie beat me to it!
