They say its going to get alot colder middle/end of the week, so try and get hubby to get some wood ready.
I know I should have one something with all those pineapples, BUT:cool::D I ended up making cawl, beef curry ( to try and use up the beef joint we had on new year's day) also fried off some finely chopped onions and bacon, ready to make little quiche's tomorrow.
Really do need to try and get back and have a 'cooking day' every week. This really does save money..
Hope Davesnave is ok, or has playing queen Victoria rubbed off on him:D
right off to find 101 things to make/do with pineapples:rotfl:Work to live= not live to work0 -

No, but I've just caught up. Had to take DD2 back to uni yesterday, which takes about 7 hours, and today I've been doing husbandly chores and having a lovely bonfire, though it was a b%4Ger to light.
Now I must build another for Choille Day.
Glad those who were feeling poorly are mending. After today, which wasn't really tough, I know I'm way, way out of condition.
We are getting 2-3 eggs a day now.0 -
I have organised my seeds by planting month divided by indoor and outdoor sowing. Do you think I maybe have too much time on my hands :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

Talking of cutting down Autumn raspberries ~ am I too late to cut down/do anything with a Summer raspberry??I only put it in last year (too late to get any fruit) so I've just left it. I noticed little shoots emerging from the cane today so I'm hoping I get something this year.

I've been soundly put in my place by OH who doesn't think I should buy anything until we've sorted the build out. He's probably right. I can't seem to follow anything through what with the kids, running the business and sorting out the planning/build. I don't need anything else to take up my time..... I'll have to sit on my hands0

I know that you're itching to start, rozee, but I agree with your OH.
The likelihood of things having to be moved or getting crushed by builders or their machines is higher than most people might expect.
New drainage etc. can change the way the land itself drains, too. I think you could end up with a completely different outdoor plan to whatever you may have previously had.
When the building is finished you are very likely to have changed your ideas on where a number of things should go.0 -

Well you will just have to give my online moral support in my gardening venturesIf you are really keen to do something could you not have some potatoes in bags or a courgette in a pot? Just a couple of movable things that take care of themselves?
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Yes like where you should have put the kitchen! :rotfl::rotfl:
I jest, but remember, last week ours was going to be somewhere else......like on the other side of the building.0
