Over at CTC's business today, lovely goodies everywhere for an unreformed rummager like me! :D

And all I can say is that I had half CTC's fruit & veg buying skills I'd never go hungry again. Just amazing!

Itsme, will need your marpling skills later, will post photo!

    OK, rhiw :)

Ok Itsme, this one has me stumped. Modern oil on canvas, probably tourist souvenir, but where and what language? My thoughts were orthodox church (Greek/Russian?) but cant tell. Prior owner will retain title to this if you can prove its of value ;)

Had the new draft plan through from the architect today. He's obviously rushed it a bit to get the basic plan here this week, but it's almost right now.:)

I have tweaked a very quick photo and re-labelled, so it can be read on here- I hope:

The only thing that needs changing is the position of the door to Bed 3,which I'd move, enabling Beds 1 & 2 to be separate behind a fire door if ever the place was to be used as a B&B.I don't think we will....but you never know! ;)

  • I think it may be Russian Orthodox, Rhiw.

It could be somewhere like the Kazan cathedral in Red Square or the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Yalta, Ukraine.
Unfortunately, I can't find a photo which matches the artist's perspective.

The writing seems to be from that part of the world, too.
Can't quite make out the signature to see if I can match it to any nationality.

It was the boot room we couldn't get the architect to take seriously. :(

He kept saying,"But you've got a utility room!" and we'd reply, "Yes, but we need a cr4p room too, where all the junk goes, and the muddy boots & coats!"

Third time, he got it! :rotfl:

    You sound perkier! :)

Will there be a veranda outside on the south face. Thinking mint juleps and a swing seat in high summer (commandeered by the cat of course!)
