Hi guys! Just starting to feel normal again after my tummy bug and BT cutting out our telephone line and broadband for a week!
I feel like I'm constantly playing catch up. And now it's pelting down with rain again :}0 -

We all jabber, yours is most often useful, I would not apologise if I were you.
Rozee, don't try to catch up, just jump back in, you will catch up as conversation goes on anyway.0 -

Thank heavens for mobile phones.0 -
Wait till the mobiles go down too, rozee. We have no signal here, anyway, but it caused total chaos recently when landlines, internet & mobiles all went down locally for a day.
Sweet of you to say so. lir, but I still apologise.
The internet can very easily encourage people to become narcissistic.
Anyone else have a horror of ending up like the people who Tweet "I'm at Tesco" etc? I always wonder why they think I (or practically anyone else) want to know that? :rotfl:
I will duly shut up unless something on topic, relevant & of possible interest crops up. Not highly likely while sitting watching bobsleigh, is it?

.
Well, that's put a downer on my weekend!:(
Style advice please, I know some of you dreamers are very stylish.
I have been rummaging in fabric trunks and found two pieces of fabric that will fit my utility window as a blind.
One is a better colour match and more 'classic' though the stripes will be horizontal. (the red is almost the same as the boiler)
The other is more joyful, and while it's not a clash it's all very autumnal with the pinky brown walls, the red boiler and this fabric, which doesn't photograph well under artificial light but it's a sort of burnt orangey but not orange, sort of gilded salmon.....
Now, of course, the important point is I think neither are washable, but will be roman blinds at above waist height.0 -
LIR...........what size window is it...
i have plain cream roller blinds in various sizes...:)
oh oh oh :j i have a fabulous embroidered silk roman blind... pale greens .?
shall i bring incase ?:D0 -

Rhiwie... hubby will be passing Andrew's on monday if that is any good, he could pick your box up, and you could pick it up from us. It would save you a fair trek.... If this is ok, let me know, and also phone Andrew on monday to let him know we would be picking it up on your behalf...
CTC, that would be great, and maybe we could buy some pork from you as well? Pm me to let me know. If I recall the lot, I bought it cos Alf was after something, but its now morphed into a mix of the hundreds of lots on offer
This evening is weird, normally we're at panic stations screaming what have we bought!!!! Tonight, we're calm, there's value in the stuff we bought, pride before a fall maybe?
M4 was horrendous this afternoon, just hated the journey back. Bit worried as DS1 and fiance flying into Heathrow tomorrow, just hope weather isnt too bad and trains from Paddington aren't diverted.
Itsme, please post, I value your contributions
Edit, CTC, any value in mens vintage st michael y-fronts, still packaged!!0 -

are they nylon or airtex?:cool::D:rotfl:
To be honest. the prices are so irratic... it all comes down to wording, you might have to put the odd sassy word etc to catch one of the main group of buyers of this type of men's pants..
I will pm you later, do you know what lot number it is? also phone Andrew to make sure it is still there, as you didnt pick it up, it might have been 'lifted' by someone else
Edit.... Rhiwie, we pass Andrew's at least once or twice a week, so if you are ever stuck for room in the car, we can allways pick them up for you on the monday...Just a future thought for you.Work to live= not live to work0 -
