:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: the words of a desperate man...:rotfl::rotfl:
i actually just ended up splattering tea all over me when i read that....:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
LIR...........what size window is it...
i have plain cream roller blinds in various sizes...:)
oh oh oh :j i have a fabulous embroidered silk roman blind... pale greens .?
shall i bring incase ?:D
Is that a vote for neither of the above?:D
The green one might be useful, maybe not for there but for another wondow......it's too cold and windy to measure windows tonight (you'll see tomorrow, we still have no back door.:rotfl:
We are defiantly using the kitchen, which is very comfortable, but has no sink:rotfl: and the windows and doors don't have fittings yet, so they fly open, or ajar to the temporary stays.0 -
Daft thing is Alf, that value is often where least expected. Bought two items at Okehamption just to get to lot I wanted. Didnt get wanted lot but the two filler items I bought for £2.36 made £30.
So its often the "fillers" that make the profit with the main item in lot just recouping cost0 -
Oo-er, lots to catch up with here!
Glad you're back in the land of the telephonically connected, rozee, minus your tummy bug. Stay well CTC, and I hope you retrieve your box of goodies, rhiwfield.....:)
It's been 'one of those days.' Being a week since the Outlaws arrived, they were due to return, but there were still a few jobs to be done, including re-fitting the deck on the mega-mower......
Luckily, I'd taken photos, so we knew what should fit where, even though it didn't look possible. Anyway, after 90 minutes or so, we had it all re-assembled, and it even started second pull......:j
But my joy was short-lived. As soon as I put it into gear for grass cutting, the blades wouldn't spin and smoke came from the drive belt, just the same as before. Pete's welding & straightening of the pulley system hasn't cured the problem, so we're back to square one with that.
But we're not too fussed about grass cutting now. Like the rest of you, we're just wallowing in sloshy mud, thankful that ours doesn't stick like clay does. The rain was with us before lunchtime, and right now it's hammering, but the wild wind hasn't materialised.
Half the barn has about an inch of water in it, so its pants as a storage solution until we can work out a fix. I have a nasty suspicion it will involve me in lots more digging!
Hope the further floods that seem inevitable don't affect any of you guys. Looks like it may dry up in the coming week. We can hope!0 -

Rhiwie, if they were nylon or airtex, you might have had a good price, but normal vintage y fronts dont go for much, a few quid.
going back a few years back I seen nylon 70's y fronts go for over £100 ( they were iconic phsycodelic sp? pattern/colours etc).
Keep an eye out for vintage nylon knickers ( especially bigger sizes;)) with frills on the bottom would be even better:cool::DWork to live= not live to work0 -

Just quickly popping in to say LIR I like the stripey one!
Sold a knitting machine and accessories yesterday for £100, and won £30 on a scratch card on Friday. That's another 100 to come off the credit card, and I treated myself to a game expansion. It's just a shame I can't get the money into the bank before next Saturday, it's at risk of being spent!"...And if it don't feel good, what are you doing it for?" - Robbie Williams - 'Candy'0
