Ok, after an evening on the phone i have found someone who will take it 'as a favour to me' pft. Best i can do. Pfft pfftpfttttt. Still, better than suffering the disaster of leaving it as a standing crop.
I really could weep though.0 -
Getting a 999 ambulance to a fallen geriatric from 200 miles away really shouldnt take 105+minutes.
But it did :mad:0 -
Oh, no! What happened, rhiw?
Are they OK ..... well, obviously not but you know what I mean.0 -

She's Ok, Itsme. Well enough to phone here at 4:30 this morning for no particular reason. The system sucks though, when 999 says they'll pass on the request, but as its out of their patch they cant tell me anything more or transfer me to NW ambulance service. And when NW ambulance service dont send an ambulance.....................
Anyhow, just to say thanks for the pm.0 -
:eek::eek::eek::eek: Rhiwie....
soooo glad to hear she is ok now.... i bet on this occasion you didnt mind the phone call at 4.30am:D
I might be forward in suggesting this, but is there anyone one of us who would live within the area of your relative? ( sorry i know i dont) so if this happens again, and you need to get an ambulance or someone/serive there again they can phone for you?
We have all become more than people just writting on a thread, the group of us that are here have become a little family, which do care and are concerned....
Like our Rozee....

:mad: I get so little time to work on my dream that it's fast becoming a nightmare! Last week - three days in London, plus the whole weekend in Cornwall. Got home on Wednesday, then had errands to run. Kitchen was a mess (Hubby home alone for five days!) so had to clean that, clean the fridge, have a posh wedding coming up, so have to make my dress for that.
This coming week, back to London for an hour's meeting on Monday :mad::mad: Had someone ask for a meeting. They said they were free on Mondays. Good, I was already in London alst Monday - oh, but they cant make that particular Monday. I say I'm still there Tuesday; they say afternoon, I say I have a long journey home (driving London to Durham); they say how about 25th. I ask the powers that be if they are happy to fund such a journey; I ask Hubby if he has anything planned. Dont hear from Hubby, funders agree to travel cost. Meanwhile, person says 'I havent heard from you in repsonse to my email, so I will be there on Tuesday' (email from him sent Friday evening; the email complaining I hadnt responded sent Saturday morning :mad:). However, the timing is okay by me! I say I hadnt replied because I needed to check funding and Hubby, but happy to hold meeting on Tuesday instead of 25th. Get email back saying 'Okay, let's do 25th then' :mad::mad::mad: So special journey down to London again this week!
In the meantime, it's been tipping it down every day since I got back and the forecast is for dry weather while I'm away!!!!
