So do you have a carbon monoxide alarm?....... Sorry I'm a bit paranoid about them, after almost dying myself.

Personally, I'm still in shorts and T-shirts, I declared summer a while ago and I'll be damned if I'm admitting I was wrong.

Yes. But to ease your mind i wuld say yes any way.

Le, you know i am not a wimp usually, but its just too cold. My toe and fingernails are winterblue and i am goosebumpy under my clothes.

Yeah, but they usually are better sealed too.

I just don't care. I am shaking with cold again. I can cope with the winters with no heating, they are meant to be cold, but the summers, one of the things that got me through winter was the idea of summer. Ad i don't need hot, i don't even like hot, but not cold, warm...i need it.

Oh, LIR. I so understand what you mean :(
Damp cold is even worse than plain cold.
Our house is not particularly cold & not at all damp, though. Certainly not as cold as it was in the depths of winter when we had the heating on but I'm still walking around with winter clothes indoors.

The world seems a different place when the sun shines & the air is warm. The body & mind sheds years

Well I don't want you to tell me fibs :rotfl: but I'm glad you have one..... I hope you really have one :(

I know you're not a wimp. Just stay warm however you can, get a duvet downstairs and wrap yourself up. Just because I'm daft in shorts (and oil rig raincoat when I go out :rotfl:) doesn't mean everyone has to be.

This morning I had to go into Exeter, where I discovered that they have sunshine! How unfair is that? :(

Still, shouldn't grumble, because in the unheated bit of our bungalow it's currently 20C and outside it's 15C, so we're hardly suffering. Polytunnel was 18/19C yesterday, even in all that rain, but two hours with the noise of it was quite enough.

I think I've told you that we found an Australorp enthusiast owner for Ozzie, who was looking pretty handsome when he left us a week or so ago......

What I haven't told you is that we have a broody Australorp ATM, so we stuck some potentially fertile Welsummer eggs under her, just to see what happens. May be a waste of time, but the gentleman who has Ozzie now has done this cross and he's pleased with the results. :)

Anyway, we'll know in about a week from now. ;)

    Good luck davesnave! Sounds fun.

Looking at what we have hatched from alfie it looks like we have two silkies and definitely one of our own back, the other two are probably ours too. :).

    Oh yes.

    Oh yes indeed.

I have been shunted off the list of the contractor because i am bottom of it. Its really hard to get contractors round here, particularly for hay making, and i have no chance this year. So i have standing grass up to my armpits and i quite simply do not know what to do. You cannot give grass away this year round here. The die back if its left will be bpretty near diasastrous.
