Got a cheap kiwi today, reduced because the label is missing and they are not sure whther it is solo or jenny, but know its one of the two. South facing wall behind veg garden is calling it.
Paid full price for a wineberry. Never heard if it, but is meant to be tasty and i think propogates well.0 -

I think it's a type of raspberry but don't think I've ever eaten one, LIR.0 -

Yes, it says related to raspeberry and the cane looks raspberryish. Be nice if it propagates in the same way i.e. by itself, and is tasty!0 -
A long shot....
Any dreamers know any woodcarvers? I need to start thinking about our mantelpiece, i know what i want but need to find someone. To do it!0 -
Haven't needed a woodcarver as all our wood is plain.
I'm presuming you don't want to hunt the architectural salvage places?
If you want to commission then I would think that the best place to start from would be either The British Woodcarvers Association or pick the brain of a friendly, local aristocrat who uses local craftsmen. I've always found the latter to be very helpful on these sort of things.0 -

LIR... the country fairs will soon be with us, and you normally find some good wood carvers showing off their wears there..so it might be a nice to go to have a day out and have a look....Work to live= not live to work0 -
Today is St David's Day and OH's birthday. Very apt for someone whose just moved to Wales and whose middle name is David. Had a lovely lunch, child free at the Ship Inn at Tresaith. We live here! It's amazing!0
