Funny, it seemed warmer here today; in fact the shirt came off pretty quickly and I was in a tee shirt till 6pm.
I've been thinning & laying the hedge again, and digging, both active jobs. I'm glad I'm not paying me for the hedging though; I'm so slow!
Suddenly wondering where our caravan will go, if we have one. To hang on to it after the building work, it should be within the curtilage of the property, but it's not very clear where our curtilage is any more! Originally, this place had a town house sized garden, but about 13 years ago that was altered and the 'garden' expanded to more than 1/2 acre.
Anyway, there's power and an unused onion tank at the bottom of the garden area, by the barn, so that's favourite.0 -

has anyone tried 3 day fleabay listings? I really do need to try and get as much wonga as possible...I dont think i have ever done 3 day listings, but i like my auctions to end on a sunday evening... or am i better off doing buy it nows and seeing if things sell? the only thing i dont like about BIN is that you are then covered by the long distance selling regulations, and people can send them back for a refund, for no reason....
i did stuff on a 3 day sale and sold the lot !! the stuff i had on 5 or 7 days, sold 40%.....??
I THINK PEOPLE LOOK MORE ON A FRIDAY/SAT/SUN...... but you miss the free listing [didnt bother me as it was the more expensive items on the 3 dayer]0 -

:jYay, I've found you all again!
My news isn't spectacular, but I now have a mended fence (it blew down in January) and we are having the agents in next week for valuations. Also we are having a week away in the Canaries in May and will have a look at a few properties while we're out there.
Happy me!

Off back up the west coast tomorrow. Staying at a friends tomorrow night and then we have dinner, bed and breakfast booked at Kinloch Lodge. Car is a large fortune but the AA are going to put their bit in. So we'll have to say goodbye to Percy Polo.

CTC - I did a few (3 items) 3 day listing just at the weekend & not one of the items sold - just thought I'd try it out. Hard to tell with just 3 items but won't bother again. handy if someone asks you to relist something & cheaper than BIN - I think.0

Hurrah for the eggs!
Re woodcarving club, i will have a look. I get the village club lists for the four villages i am between, and while there is loads going on there is no woodcarving.

I've tried a few things like that and they seem variable, some like the spot they are given and some don't. Also, some get raided by the birds before you can get to them and some don't, again I think this can be down to where you plant it as well.
The main problem with this sort of thing, is that it's difficult to keep the birds off with netting. They require some sort of structure or something to tie the canes to.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
