Oh Alfie... It's a good job I've become hardened over the years really or we would have an animal sanctuary, not a house. Although, once we're up on the hill, there will be no restraint on me accepting waifs & strays so who knows what might happen? I have taken on some right obscure pets & injured wildlife in my time...

If rabbit is cooked with...say pork it takes on the flavour of pork. Rabbit stewed with pork is a favourite for many.

i had a call once to take in some critters via an animal rescue place. they told me it was 2 prairie dogs and a possum.... so i set about looking up habitat details, rang some zoos and got stuck in building suitable accomodation for them...big enclosure with lots of tunnels for the "dogs" and big branch filled aviary type build for the possum...
THEY ARRIVED........... twas NOT a possum but an Opossum which is the size of a hamster !!! i quickly ripped out the insides of a cabinet with glass doors, put in a heat lamp and accesories and popped it in....i felt like Anika Rice...:rotfl:

the opossum didnt live long as it had internal problems due to a previous bad diet.
the dogs lived for years. when i moved house i went to catch them.[ theyd always come out for food] and lifted all the tunnels and no sign of em ..baffled, one suddenly appeared [well its nose did] from disturbed soil ??? i soon learnt they had tunnels leading in all directions out into the garden :rotfl: theyde been "free range" without me knowing...:rotfl: even though the floor deep down had been wired theyd obviously found a gap. devils own job rounding them up tho...:D
