Think this should be a few pics of the stirrup LIR. The ring things & buckles are held on with little hands. The spur is a sea creature.

How remarkable! Thank you for showing it to me!0 -
Can't find anything about him as an artist but........
Ral Mynton born c.1871, Glamorgan & living Glamorgan 1911 (Census).
Sorry, can't tell you any more, rhiw. You'd need someone with access to the full Census to see what his occupation etc. was.0 -

In 1891 he said he was born & living Llansamlet...... but I can find no Mynton, Minton or similar who might be him on any other Census. A mystery man
The only Mintons I can find around Llansamlet in 1870s are James Minton, forge foreman who had been born at Brynmawr, Breconshire & his wife was a Londoner. Their children were born at Llansamlet & Loughor. One was about the right age but was a William. However, a Ralph W Minton died in Glamorgan 1935 so ........ maybe?0 -

Yes, course, they'll be spurs - shows how much I know about horsey stuff.
I was told by someone that it's Spanish probably. Only found the one. It's bronze apart from the actual spur wheel - which is iron I think.0
