Been off-line a lot & phoning BT & getting no where.

Poppy - HSPC is a good link for property in the Highlands.

Weather been really awful, but have a successful hatching of mainly Scot's Greys despite the eleccy going off for hours & I even popped eggs under fat cat's folds of flab - which really freaked him out when one off them started to hatch!

One lady Orp has bad cuts due to me needing to get more girls but mainly also trim Mr Teddy's spurs - feel remiss for not doing it before now.

Planted some stuff out coz really need to get some stuff in the ground & OH made a poly cover thing with plastic pipe hoops for a bed as it's disgustingly cold with more smattering of snow on the tops.

LIR - wanted to post a pic of stirrup but don't know how to do it on here.

CTC - all business just now is finding it tuff - just no money floating about - we are really just treading water & can't buy materials - which is agony.......................

I always get this mental picture of Chickens in Red Coats riding greys into the Battle of Waterloo when I hear that name  :rotfl:

On that note, I'm off to bed.

Hope the phone, the business & also the Orp are back to normal soon.

    Night all.

I knew you meant Tavistock market, rhiwfield. Wouldn't call the others 'touristy' now. :(

DW and I had Tavistock cased years ago, but we couldn't find anywhere in that locality. The only affordable property we looked at near there had access issues for our van.

If I disappear for a while, it'll be my 'puter. Funnily enough, DW's 13 year old labelling computer died yesterday, and now this one is coming out in sympathy..... I have a spare, supposed to replace the labelling machine, but it's not set up. :o

Lir, I haven't been over on the Nice thread for a bit, but if Pastures is OK with it, we could give the regulars here PMs to the 'other place.'

I think pn would be fine with it. So long as we respect bandwidth and don't post too many pics.

Hope you lot are not thinking of disappearing en masse, I've learned so much valuable information on here from lurking & I would hate to lose you :( I understand completely that some things need to remain private, but please don't disappear completely :o

lol.. no we will not do a mass exidus...

as you well know we have all bonded as a nice little group, and there are some things that are a bit awkward to put on an open forum.... plus technically we are not suposed to pass our contact details on to each other etc....which in certain circumstances i totally agree with.

so to stay within the rules etc of the forum it would be nice to have a sperate place where we can talk more openly etc..

We did it with a shabby chic forum, but then it became an open forum:o

The other place (if it's the one I'm thinking of) isn't really private, though. It can still be read by everyone who registers.
If you want to discuss things in private I'd suggest using PMs.
