If you want to discuss things in private I'd suggest using PMs.
It can be read, that's true.
It is however, mainly a group of chums from a thread like this and huge numbers of spammers.
Pms is still the only way for real privacy.0 -
BACK IN THE DAY:D when we took total advantage of Tes*c's loopholes, being over charged policies etc, a few of us savvy people;) had a private forum, which basically the mod would send you a username and password, and if anyone applied to join the forum were ignored...( basically invite only).so you would only have a select few which were allready known to each other.
On this forum we would say what loopholes we had found etc, and this would give us the heads up before it became public knowledge on mse;)
Its just a thought...as then maybe some of my posts would make alot more sense:rotfl::DWork to live= not live to work0 -
Could always set up a Skype group, I guess. Only by invite then.0

Certainly worth trying skype, not a clue ho to set up. Also, guessing it some ways will be a lot less discrete? My skype name being my real name .....or is it weird to have a straightforward skype name? Only really used it for cheaper calls or skyping family.
Losing one of my paying guests soon.need to sort out fencing and hedging so i can advertise (i would feel embarrased to with the state if some of our fencing atm. ). today my nerves are being pathetic, a new one in the front of my left hip is firing all the time, so i have cramp in a muscle i have not felt since i gave up riding or possibly even dancing before that.
Also, my winter horse jacket reeks. I have to wash it, but still need it......i am wondering whether i should soak it in something before washing it smelle so bad!0 -

I think i have chosen our bathroom tiles, its just a matter of affording them now. At the weekend i am hoping i can get dh to get out all our old copies of house magazines, because a few years ago i read a bout a flooring which might do for the bathroom but i cannot find any reference to it now. If only i had a picture i could get supersluth itsmehonest in to the case, but as it is i think its going to be hours of reading through classifieds in old magazines.0 -

It's a free download which allows one to instant message, voice call, video call (unless, like me, you have a slow internet - so I keep my videocam off most of the time), share files, images ....... all sorts of things.
If you download it you may want to make sure that you only allow people in your Contacts list to see various things but it can all be set up fairly easily.
I also changed the default so that it only turns on as & when I'm going to use it (normally it will turn on as soon as the 'puter boots up) but times can either be pre-arranged or we can just jump onto Skype from here if we want to say anything more private.
You can also leave messages for people who are offline to collect when they come online.
Used carefully, it's very useful.

Well......sounds dread ful, but please withold judge ment! It was a man made floor, i think resin, in set with cinnamon bark in one colourway, and coconut in the other. Both were, iirc, dark anks, that could make a good seal ( our old boards never will, they are too far gone, and under chip board).
The bathroom as i have it in my head is not very traditional, but is a bit like what a toman might do now. Its not going to be a big room. Atm its a bedroom, and we are taking some from one end to be a dressing room/ linen cupboard, and some from the width to be a corridor. This leaves a room big enough to have either a bath OR a big shower......unless...unless......you are in a house with a void under the bathroom in the house! My plan is to go down into the void with a support beam, and make a tiled, sunken 'bath' that is mainly used as a wet room, but can be filled with water for two to bathe. I know written it sounds terrible, but i can visualise it and its very chic.....so long S the componanta are right. The problem is, otherwise, i think its pants to have a main bathroom with no bath, but i know, practically we need a shower. The parent moving in with us will not bath, only shower, and tbh, i miss the shower a lot too. And its hard to angle a shower into an old house in a room with a sash wondow, a bath is much easier decoratively, and have it look good, where as my design will look good.......but i need the right plank floor, and the right floor tiles for the shower. I have chosen the wall tiles almost definitely, but they are too textured to work on a floor, so......
Oh, why do i always give the long answer?
Floor, cinnamon or coconut set in some man made material to make dark plank. I have found coconut planks, but they are not the same.0
