LIR..... did IT do much ?

Its allways the same.... allways a run of bad luck/mis-haps/things going wrong etc..:o

you get great news, and everything is going great, and then WOLLUP!!!!! A RUN OF !!!!:o:mad: ( flipping story of my life..lol..)

really do feel for you LIR....

Rhiwfield..... still thinking of you and OH.... I know not much help, when you have bad news.... and we feel bloody hopeless, as we cant help etc, but you are in our thoughts...

Looks as though its going to be a flipping georgous day today..:T

Had the 3 lots of free seeds from birdseye. dont feel as though there are many seeds in the packets, but, they were free:D
so today.. I am going to clean out the greenhouse ( and remove eldest bike, he has been using it all winter to store his bike) and then get sowing...

I think i will now start afresh with my strawberry plants too..
Where would be the best ( and cheapest) place to get strawberry plants/runners?

I flipping love this time of the year.... and especially nice days.... really does put a smile on my face... and uplifts me too........
It's great to be alive, eh, CTC? :D

Oh pants, LIR, I just saw the post above. How awful. My friend lost a load to the fox the other week when he got into the chicken enclosure... She muttered something about wishing she'd got proper electric fencing. Does anyone have any views on this? We are imminently in the market for some birds but I want to make sure we minimize the risk of them being massacred... I'd be so sad.

Davesnave.... you'll be the man in the know:D..

Years ago i used to buy plant pots/ plant module trays etc in bulk from a company called kayes? they used sell all sorts of gardening stuff at really good prices are they still around?

Or do you know the best place to buy cheap plant pots etc..
( i used to buy them by the box full)

Also what is the largest size polytunnel you can get without having P.P ? I dont think there would be any problems getting P.P for polytunnel in the new place (the area is classed as agri land so no pp for houses, but they said you could have agri buildings etc) but i just dont want/need to rig-ma-role that goes with the application etc ( well not right now anyway...lol..)

We have decided, rather than buy pure breeds... we are putting our eggs in the 'cooker'

We have a cross cockeral and a bluebell cockeral in the run with our bluebells and cross breeds..

our bluebell cockeral is old, and it looks as though our crossbred c0ck is now the main man...

Not ideal, as i have allways said, it cost the same to feed a good purebred and a manky crossbred..BUT for now we need to keep our costs dow, so whatever hatches out of these eggs will be layers or eaten ( got to get used to it:o)
