What happened to Kays Discount Garden Supplies?

Hi,

My mum is a dedicated gardener and has previously ordered from a company called N A Kays Discount Garden Supplies for the last 25 years. She made an order from a old catalogue recently and when her order didn't arrive she tried to call them. Both their tel numbers didn't work and I checked their website yesterday http://www.kaysdiscountgarden.co.uk but the site no longer works. So it appears to have ceased trading. As a loyal customer my mum wants to know what happened to the company. I couldn't find anything online about their closure. Does anyone know what happened?

My mum used them to order 35kg bags of fertilizer ( in particular Vitax Q4, Lime & Blood, Fish & Bone) from them. I now need to find a new supplier that offers a good price and reasonable delivery. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi, Thanks very much for that. I checked the details on Companies House and the company was dissolved in Feb 10. I will let my mum know.

    Surprised they lasted that long!

I use LBS based in Colne, Lancs. People may have different interpretations of 'reasonable delivery,' but the minimum order amount for free delivery with them is £125, which I find perfectly acceptable. :)
