It was a gorgeous sunny day here and I missed it :(

Oh well almost the holidays and I will be able to go out and enjoy my garden properly. I have organised a seed swap with a friend this weekend. We both have small patches so half the more unusual seeds we buy :D

My artichokes are doing really well :j everything else died :(

Went up to the bungalow today. It was absolutely wonderful. Felt tearful as I looked upon it. I know I'm a sentimental old so and so. The land, not the building!

I sat in the dell and watched nuthatches do their thing as I listened to, well, not much really... the tinkling stream, a distant cockerel and the wind in the trees. Bliss.

I used my trowel for the first time. Just started clearing out the ancient green house so I can transfer my seedlings in due course. We're such a mismash right now. I salvaged some very old gear from the sheds that most people would call rubbish and then went to the local Ifor Williams dealership to research a new trailer. We're looking at a P6e, about £900 for a flat bed all purpose 6'6" x 4' trailer with some weld mesh panel sides. We can get a covered one that would be suitable for small livestock which is £1135 plus VAT. I've scoured the classifieds for a decent secondhand one but they don't seem much cheaper than a new one and if you factor in diesel when you collect it, probably the same. We've got the van being fitted with a tow bar on monday - can anyone see the need for a detachable tow bar? They're £100 more.

How do the Batesons compare Lucielle?

I've just realised, if we own a trailer, how close to steptoe and son I will become - I'll be giving alf a run for her money!
If you have a look on the Bateson website (sorry can't do links) and if you see something you like send me a pm and hopefully point you in the right direction regarding price.

I think it's a Halifax bomber, glad there is alot of interest.

In things like this, I've asked for any info from someone and have had alot of stuff sent to me, which you can then add to the listing.

First one that looks like it is a Handley Page Halifax, alfie. What do you think?

It comes of having plenty of practice & a mis-spent youth which furnished me with a large supply of general knowledge trivia. It helps to have a lateral way of thinking when it comes to Google :rotfl:
