We do not have a shower.. We have a horrid bath.
Like minded friends often use a compost heap as a urinal for men at parties, I think if I suggested it to my family, they'd all faint with the shock :rotfl:
By adequate toilet facilities btw, I didn't mean a 5* bathroom, just somewhere that at least is private for doing No2's LOLFreedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

Rozee, you could replace the glass with safety glass or plastic of some kind. The glass would be cheaper in the long run.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

Hi everyone, popping back in after a while away to update you on what's happening. But first... Alfie and LIR and Choillie, so sorry to hear about your recent losses! It's never nice or expected, is it?
Which brings me onto our own loss, our beautiful Persian cat has had to be PTS because of a lymphoma. He was 8, and we had expected many happy years with him yet. We're at a real loss without him. From him showing ANY symptoms to having to let him go was less than a week. We're not looking to get another cat yet, as we have a holiday in May, but after that we'll talk and see how everything else is going.
The holiday? Ahh yes, we're going to Tenerife for a week and will be looking at some fincas while there. There are a few which are within reach, it depends how much work on a property we want to do and how much land we want. And of course we need to make sure that DH's arthritis is positively affected by the trip - it's been a bad winter for him and more so since losing our furry friend as he has no-one to take his mind off it while I'm at work.
On the house front, we could put it on the market now, but DH wants me to pay off my CC first which makes sense (but I hate having to wait!!) and that will take until September. Money over there is worth twice what it is here, because of salaries and lack of job opportunities. So, no real progress at the moment.
It's really enthused me to catch up today though, you all make a difference to my life with your plans and adventures. So thanks for being such a great crowd!"...And if it don't feel good, what are you doing it for?" - Robbie Williams - 'Candy'0 -
Oh alrx, i am sorry.
Ctc said, and i agree, you get 'used' to dealing with chicken deaths, even when you love'em. But cats are something apart. Thinking forward to mine goung gives me nightmares. I am sure you are a better person for having had your persian.0 -

And thanks for the link, IMH.
Dave, or any propagators out there: is it feasible to take cuttings from my established hedge in order to fill in the gaps in the tree lined boundary or should I not be a tight !!!! and just buy some young shrubs?
Or would it be feasible to go into the woodland bit and dig up any new plants that would be suitable for hedges? I'm thinking holly and the like. It's a bit wild in that there dell and the plants have been doing their thing!0
