Hannington is on low power untill 18th April.
Your statement that "Hannington is on low power untill 18th April" is incorrect and is not the reason for lack of reception of all channels.
The three public-service multiplexes are now being transmitted at full power from the main station at Hannington and for the first time, from its eight dependent relays.
Only the 'commercial' multiplexes do not reach their final DSO powers until April 2012, as planned. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
So... how does all this relate to my issue?0

My bad espresso.
I didn't read it correctly :embarasse0 -

Your issue appears to be that you don't have a clue what you are doing and do not provide enough information to allow others to help you!
Why did you totally ignore post #54?
Have you got a user manual for your digibox?
The info provide by this site that I posted a link to, tells us a lot of useful information e.g. here
Although some commercial Muxs are not yet transmitting on full power, the main public service Mux are now transmitting 50kW, whereas prior to digital switchover they were only transmitting 25kW, so therefore you should still be able to receive these channels if you could receive them before. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I'm sorry, I didn't see post 54. Can happen, if there are a lot of posts.
The digibox is one of the ITV Digital ones that they were flogging off when that particular venture went belly-up. There may be a manual somewhere - I'll have a look when I get home. Anything I should be looking for?

Not sure why you are getting your signal from Hannington when the main Oxford transmitter is only 4 miles from you and Hannington is 30 miles away. Details here Cowboy aerial installer perhaps?
If you had told us that you had a really old antique ITV Digital box a week ago, it would have saved you a lot of unnecessary effort.
The very old boxes don't have enough memory for the NIT (Network Information Table) now that the number of Freeview channels and transmitters has expanded.
Time for a new box. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
espressso has covered it I think. But the list of non-functioning boxes after switchover is on the link on this page:
http://freeview.co.uk/Resolutions/Will-my-digital-equipment-continue-to-work-at-switchover
We should have pushed you for the make and model at the outset-would have saved 67 pointless posts...now 68.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Could well be (the installer). The previous aerial fell off the chimney, and the installer wouldn't go up on the roof, so he installed it on the back wall of the house. I didn't complain, as it worked OK at the time.
Sorry I didn't mention the digibox, but no one asked. I can sort this by getting a new box? OK, fine. How much for the cheapest one that would work OK?0 -
Check your box against the list on the link above.
They all 'work', you can get get them in Tesco from about a tenner upwards, if your priority is budget. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

It depends exactly what features you require but there is one here with two scarts and a USB port for £13 delivered.
Remember that you will not now be able to record programs, so I would recommend a PVR e.g. Humax. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
