The only thing I've had off them since it's been opened, that actually has an account number on, is the confirmation of the amount and date of one of my transfers. I guess they're so inundated they're just dealing with each bit of paper as it comes in rather than worrying about the customer experience. Doesn't bother me as long as it's all sorted eventually.
FYI - Halifax closed the transferred ISA on the 28/02 and NCBS credited the new ISA on the 02/03, so probably a bank cheque used?0 -
I posted my transfer application to NCBS on 24th Feb and haven't received any letter of acknowledgement from them yet. I had applied from transfers for my ISAs from Natwest and Halifax and those ISAs still show up when in log in to internet banking of these two banks. It is possible that NCBS are still slowly processing the deluge of applications they got for their ISA but can anyone else confirm they are in the same boat as me i.e not heard from NCBS even after week and a half of posting application?
Update: I reached home from work and there lay the acknowledgement letter from NCBS which said that my transfers from Halifax and Natwest were in progress. So all's well that ends well!0 -

I posted mine on 22 Feb, the only notification I've had so far is a letter confirming receipt of transfer request, and that they are processing it. The money disappeared from my Halifax account on 1 March, but nothing else from ncbs. I rang them to see if they could tell me anything, and they said they couldn't as they'd been deluged with applications.0 -
I don't know if anyone else is thinking this, but I am sort of regreting transfering so early on, as more competitive products have become available, such as Santanders 4% for 2 years. I am not sure if to cancel the account as I remeber reading somewhere you have a 14 day cooling off period.0

Not me, I wouldn't put my ISA with Santander, so 3.70% is still the best 99 day notice account. The only other one I'd consider at the moment is the Cheshire @ 4.05% 18 month, but I'm not sure I want one that matures in the middle of the year as, generally, the better ISA rates are around now rather than the middle of the financial year.

Why don't you ask Santander if they would still process a transfer if the money wasn't sent from the old provider for 3½ months? We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

I got a letter from them on 06/03 saying I needed to supply proof of ID and address by post by 09/03, otherwise my application would be void. I sent it off on 07/03 and have not yet heard back from them either way, not received any sort of correspondence.
Today I logged onto my previous provider and my cash ISA account is no longer listed there! So it'd better be with National Counties. And I am also angry because I specifically asked for only this year's subscription and interest to be transferred.
I hope I can get hold of them.Saving £10,000 in 2013: £4491.48/£10,0000 -
Has anyone had any luck in contacting them? It constantly rings busy.
--
Actually I managed to get through to them by calling the main number as opposed to the customer service number, as they were able to put me on hold (and it was a short wait!).
Customer service experience was so much better than yesterday trying to explain the concept to my previous ISA provider and them trying to sell me a current account product?!?
Unfortunately what this means is that the procedure will need to be started again (i.e. whole amount goes back to previous ISA provider, then they re-send a cheque with just this year's subscriptions, etc.). Not only that, because my previous ISA is out of issue, now the amount that is coming back "bounced" from National Counties will be sitting in a new ISA with a lower interest rate! The only reason I'm not leaving previous issue provider at once and jumping the gun fully to National Counties is that I don't think I can afford to have all my subscriptions tied into a fixed term...Saving £10,000 in 2013: £4491.48/£10,0000 -
NCBS are great. No getting through on stupid 0845/0870 numbers wasting time and money having to press 1 or 5 or whatever. You ring they pick up you talk to them thats it. Or you ring and its engaged and you don't get charged for the call. Proper old fashioned service and good rates on these ISAs too.
Good customer service no wonder they are engaged and busy due to all the publicity of a ISA 'loop hole' on this site (what rubbish that was) its a 99 day notice ISA with a 3 year fixed rate !!!!!!!
Heads up everyone, as you probably know the account closed to new customers a while back and will close to existing customers on March 30th, they told me today.0
