The thing is, is that 1.1a seems to be referring to enclosing/transferring a sum of money from *an existing NCBS account* in order to open an ISA. I don't have one, so I can't fill that out.
1.1b seems more applicable?
You can, however, tick the box that shows that you want a Fixed Rate ISA.
Otherwise they may believe that you wish to open one of their other ISAs.0 -
Thanks! What if you don't know the full balance to transfer? (for the part that says "apply to transfer all/part (delete as appropriate) of my Cash ISA funds in the sum of £ ..................).
I can't check, because my logon details for Santander are in the process of being reset. Do you think writing "full balance + interest" would be sufficient?0 -

I was told to put in the current balance as you know it, and then also say "plus closing interest". If you can't log in to get your current balance with Santander, can't you ring them to ask them?0 -
Thanks again
Managed to get the balance from an automated line with a couple of details. Off to the post office I go. Cutting it very fine...

A bit disappointed that they didn't include any details about accessing the account online, but having looked at their website it appears that you have to register for that separately.Stompa0 -
No collection at the post office, meaning that it won't go until Monday, and so NCBS won't get it until Tuesday 6th at the earliest. We'll see...0

I posted my application on 22 Feb and received a letter dated 27 Feb confirming transfer going through. The money disappeared from my Halifax ISA on 1 March when I logged into my Halifax accounts. I rang ncbs today to see if they could confirm receipt of payment, but they said they've had "hundreds and hundreds" of applications and couldn't tell whether or not anything had been received (I thought Halifax made their ISA transfers via electronic transfer now, although the ncbs customer service rep said all ISA transfers are made by cheque, but I'm sure some of them do electronic transfer). Has anyone who sent their application in around the 22 Feb received any confirmation of account opening yet?0
