I'm thinking I'll most likely open a "temporary" ISA in year 2 or 3 (depending on what interest rates are like then) to transfer into; one that has direct access at a reasonable rate which should allow a lot more flexibility to do a quicker transfer when a good deal becomes available.
Good idea. If banks are offering 3.5% easy access in January, we can probably expect 4.5% fixed deals around March/April. If there's a 3.7% easy access then I'd transfer instantly (well, in 99 days).0 -
I see the account has now been withdrawn. Does this mean we can't deposit any more cash? From the website it would appear so. Anyone confirm?
In which case, I need to find another ISA account for this tax year, and there doesn't seem to much decent around apart from the Nationwide Flexclusive one. Hmmm, can I be bothered with that. £239 on £5640 compared to the AA 3.5% which would give me £197.4. Thats £42 extra. Decisions, decisions.0 -
I have just phoned to find out the sort code and been told I can't add to my new account now. One of the specific questions I asked when opening was can I put money in during the new tax year? I was told yes. They asked me who I dealt with but of course I made no note!0

The person you spoke to should have made it clear to you, I guess what they meant was "theoretically" you can add to it in the new financial year - as long as the account was still open. Not much good to you as they withdrew it.0 -
Sorry to drag up an old thread - I have been emailed by them a while back to say that they have their correspondence to me was returned to sender. I have sent them my new address but not heard back yet.
Does anyone know whether it was a circular?Saving £10,000 in 2013: £4491.48/£10,0000 -

1 year ago, I was thinking of ditching them after 1 year and moving to a 4% ISA. Looks like that isn't going to happen.0
