Damn, the machine ate my last reply, but basically, it was along the lines that your passive-aggressive comments on this and several other threads don't help the way people see you - I can handle that other people feel differently to me, but you are only making yourself look rather foolish by sniping at people, so I wouldn't do it too much more if you want us to start taking you or your situation seriously.
In a couple of days it will be academic anyway, but your buyer's opinion and feedback of you is what counts on eBay (and elsewhere in real life - if you behaved like this offline there would be repercussions too, possibly legal, certainly social). Accepting that is easier than living in denial that most people posting on this thread think you should have done the right thing by your buyer, whatever your opinion of them.
Sometimes things don't come down to your own opinion - they come down to what consequences your actions have on yourself, on other people, and on how people perceive you. Changing your mind isn't a sign of weakness - it's a sign of strength that you are able to at least consider other possibilities and other course of action, and you come across as a spiteful person by what you've been spamming other threads with. You may think you are doing the right thing, but once you get your buyer's feedback, I wouldn't expect it to be good."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Who are 'us'? Do you mean the regulars who seem to stick together as a group and gang up on new users and people with different opinions from their own? I didn't realise you were a superviser on this board. If you wish to be BG then I suggest you PM Martin as it looks like you only joined this forum to post on the eBay board and defend it everyday.
Also spamming other threads - care to explain?A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
I was torn as to whether add my opinion, but as this is a public forum, I will.
Sorry OP, I have to agree that you do come across as somewhat passive aggressive, overly defensive and unwilling to hear others opinions. This is just my opinion after reading yours.0 -
Thank goodness this (the OP's) is not the attitude of the online retailers I have had to deal with. Had they made me wait when they had made a mistake I would have been left short of a birthday present / urgent item numerous times.
I only hope that I never buy from you unwittingly!0
