Thanks, awesome car for the price however the insurance will kill me on that thing. Croydon postcode is not wallet friendly

Thats exacly why you need to do it yourself. And it takes time.

I've normally bought my next banger before selling the one I'm running around in. I've just taxed my current one for 6 months, my insurance is up in August and I'm looking to buy a car my son can learn to drive in. So I've around 5 or 6 months to find one.

I'll only be looking at diesels, so that gets rid of a lot, and I buy on MOT (£50 per month left, any tax on it at cost. This is more or less a maximum but can be less) so generally search up to around £750-800.

Only you know what you need and what to look for.

That's pretty cool but I suspect may be a bit dearer/more difficult to insure as its an import.

I know- but a brilliant find though and I would gladly buy it if I was in need of a new one. I've just done a dummy quote on it and it's coming up at about £350 which is £150 more than I pay for the Saab.

We have had loads of snow here is Sussex last night I have been driving the Saab with a massive grin on my face. I don't know if it made any real difference but I stuck it in "W" mode last night and had no drama's at all driving through the fresh snow. This morning I went around Brighton picking up my colleagues to get them into the office.
I saw loads of abandoned BMW 3 series!
