Probably used to heat on the exhaust to remove it, burnt a hole in the floor and had to weld a patch in.0 -

It is standard procedure to disconnect the battery before working on a car. Not just welding.0 -

There is no way that it would take two hours to fit that cat, twenty minutes more like - that is some mark up!
I did a quick check on Clickmechanic Their various quotes estimated the labour time as either 0-1 hours or 1-2 hours so I'm guessing it's around 1 hour. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0 -

Risky as you can easily cause a short.
And if it is a BSi equipped Citroen you could do some damage.
You can cause electrical problems by fitting non spec LED bulbs in your rear lights!0 -

hi
I have a 1999 ford focus 1.8 ghia. every time i stop the battery is flat. It starts with just a little push or roll down a hill. what i need to know is there any way of knowing if its the battery or the alternator.
i dont want to go to one of these fast fit places and get fleeced for either the wrong part of replacing both when its one or the other .
hope this makes sense . Thanks in advancejust because you are paranoid doesnt mean to say they are not out to get you0 -

Without a multimeter though, it's hard to do. Does the charge warning light come on and go off properly when you start the car?0 -

charging light doing as it should goes off immidiatly after car starts. doesnt come on when driving. the fan belt is ok too
