Hi can anyone help. About 6 months ago I parked in a private car park in cornwall,I had purchased a ticket and put it on my dashboard. When I came back to my car I had a PCN (Parking Charge Notice) attached. I got in my car to notice my ticket had fallen into the footwell. I saw the attendant and told him that I had a ticket which had fallen off and showed it to him. He said I needed to write to the company involved enclosing the ticket and explain the circumstances and everything should be fine. So thats what I did. Having not heard anything for about 6 months I thought it had gone away and been sorted. Six months after the ticket I receive a letter from a collection company saying I owe £95 if I dont it will go to court with the outcome of a possible CCJ. Please can you advise thanks you.0

Been nearly six weeks now since I got the court proceedings/CCJ/Money-from-wages/bailiff letter. All gone very quiet now with UKCPS - while I wasn't holding my breath on this one, do you think this one has now gone away, or will anything else be winging its way to me as we speak? Thanks to all for your advice and support up to now, by the way!:T0

Impossible to say. He is something of a maverick to whom logic cannot be applied. The only certainty is that if he does take out a claim in the County Court, he will lose to a proper defence. Every one which I have seen of his so far, is doomed because he has no evidence to offer as to who the driver was.
If you get anything contact us immediately.0 -
Still nothing...............:beer:0

Be patient! In some of the cases, he has waited up to six months! He lost heavily in his last one. The lunatic is STILL trying to sue the registered keeper despite being roundly told by a District Judge that he couldn't. Trying for the title of vexatious litigant of the year and I have a feeling he will get it.0

I'll not give up on checking the letterbox just yet then, but its now 7 months since my car was 'littered'.
Thanks to all for the continued help and advice - just knowing that there's a whole army of support has been great! Cheers one and all :T0 -
In January I received 2 letters from UKCPS about parking ina disabled bay at a gym, in a car which I wasn’t the driver (but was theregistered owner).
Our son goes to a nursery in a gym, and this gym hadcontracted UKCPS. The gym has specific “child friendly” parking bays which are supposedto be for parents who are quickly dropping off collecting children. Sometimesthese are full (with people who don’t need to use them!), so my partner hadused the nearby disabled ones to reduce the risk of toddlers running into theroad.
I ignored the first set of letters as my partner said UKCPscould not enforce and I hadn’t done anything wrong, but when I received thesecond round of letters I got worried. My partner went into the Gym and spoketo the manager who apologised. The gym manager rang UKCPS in front of him, and confirmedthat no further action would be taken.
To my horror, when recently “Googling” my name I found onthe UKCPS website a copy of a CCJ they have taken out against me in NorthamptonCounty Court in March!
I had no communication since the second letter and now have a CCJ.
Has this happened to anyone else and what should I do?
