Mine was last washed in July in France 2010 after we got stuck on the Passage de Gois and nearly killed it.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Would you recommend the best way to wash it?poppasmurf_bewdley wrote: »At least once a week.
A clean car runs better and gets more mpg as it cuts through the air easier.
(Now standing by for all those who disagree).
I want to preserve the look as long as I can. I don't want it to rust at all.
That makes it sound like a good car instead of a normal one. I wish . :rotfl:Life is short, smile while you still have teeth

Yes it was very scary! OH had told me it was ok to "wang it" across once the water was down to around 6" deep. It wasn't (of course) and we ended up being towed by a very helpful random Frenchman then hoping against hope it dried out on the island. It was a Sunday, and not a thing was open, not a person in sight. OH is no longer allowed to advise me on driving
Yes, last time I washed it
You've shamed me publicly now, I promise I'll wash it tomorrow!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
I last washed mine 2 weeks ago using the jet wash at the local petrol station. Didn't really do a good job but got it looking clean. Time before that was the 2 bucket method last June.

It is filthy again now.0 -

Every time she's been off-road (usually 'cos the mud sends the wheels off-balance)

Seriously - whenever I can. I rarely have a free weekend with decent weather to do it properly. It's worth it when done though - big and black with plenty of chrome
