"What else do you want to do that weekend? Nothing much? Then I might as well go away with so-and-so"

"I asked you if you wanted to do anything or come with me and you don't ever want to go up there"

You do sound like you have several issues going on here.

I know you feel like doing something else to him right now other than just talking:D!! but you sound like you cannot go on living like this, and a good heart to heart seems long overdue.

Awww hun, seems like you've got a right one there.I know men are from Mars and all that crap but he sounds like he's from the Victorian era:mad::mad::mad:
You need to put your foot down with a firm hand;):D

    Thanks :rotfl:

He's a yorkshireman, so generally 200 years behind the rest of us, but I try not to hold that against him :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

To be honest I might just clobber his credit card and buy myself something pretty (no joint account :D)

are the last 2 sentences true?
i'm kind of wondering why your OH chose to live so far away from his family when he's back there so often?

i live nearly 400 miles away from my family, love them all, but I only go back home to see them 5 or 6 times a year, and hardly ever for just a weekend, because I'd no sooner get there than it would be time to come home again!

Today sounds like the straw that broke the camel's back.

Am PMSL here, as my OH is also a Yorkshireman and very well trained in comparison:DThink it's cos he's lived on his own for ages so had to be self sufficient:D:D
We don't have kids together though, so that's a bonus ;)

Book a weekend away, just you and your son.. let him come home from work Friday night to find you gone, note on the table, let him do his own shopping, washing and cooking for the weekend.. it won't solve the issue but might make him think. does he ever plan holidays with you??

I can understand if there are things he doesn't get to do in the week he might need to fit in at the weekend and he might be tired from working but nevertheless he sounds selfish and immature..
