    (Chocolate, crisps and peanuts)
I don't think it's possible to eat these in small amounts. I'd prefer not to have any of these items at all because in my book they are not 'food'.

They are calories just like every other food, I counted calories, ate all 3 above, but reduced my intake by 1000 per day and lost weight .

I found it easier to avoid hunger by 1) favouring foods with low calorie density and 2) exercising and eating exercise calories back. No "tricks ", no messing with food avoidance, just tracked to nth degree and was ruthlessly honest about calories eaten.

It takes will power to be fair but it works

Unfortunately I am not able to exercise to that degree.

What OH and I have started doing recently seems, just seems, to be working. We don't need all the food that we've been led to believe we 'must have'.

67.1 kg today. That's - 0.6 kg since last Wednesday.

I wouldn't give you twopence for all the crisps and chocolate in the world. I didn't have them while I was growing up, they weren't considered essential then, they didn't even exist, but we grew up active and healthy.

    2 miles more please Fred!

Well I haven't completed my challenge, yet I feel all the walking and cycling I've done has had a positive effect and my body fat % is creeping downwards so I still feel like a winner! :)

Can't wait for the new challenge!

A loss of 1lb today please Fred. So 13st 3lb.

Sadly no more exercise worth counting.
I'm feeling very positive though and will definitely put more effort in with the exercise in March.

Well done to everybody, losers or not!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.
  • It's -1.8lbs for me this week - thanks, Fred.

My order from My Protein arrived yesterday (next day delivery £3.95) - I ordered 1kg vanilla whey powder and samples of banana, choc mint and smooth chocolate. Haven't tried any of them but I'll let you know. I also ordered two protein bars (29g protein per 230kcal bar) in choc mine and vanilla and honeycomb - they're pretty nice, esp the choc mint and they're like chewy brownies. They keep me full for HOURS after too. And I think there's something like 12-14g fiber per bar too :)

The only thing about the protein bar is that is contains a digestive enzyme, and some people on the site said that it gave them awful bloating and gas . I've been fine so far though - touch wood!
