Hey all
Went for my weigh I. Today and i was dreading it as my body felt really heavy, so thought I had sts or put on, to my suprise I had lost 2lbs so i was really pleased, my cousin just invited me for dinner on. Saturday, she has given up, choc, cakes and crisps and I have given up chocolate, and I am bringing dessert, so decided it will either be a crumble or strawberrys and cream.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Hi all
Fred - reporting in with STS again this week.
Quite disappointed at this month's progress, I did have fish and chips on Friday but I made sure I counted and tracked every point and I was spot on for the rest of the week. WW say that you can use your daily, weekly and activity points and you should still lose weight, but it's not working for me. I've never used any APs and I rarely use weeklies. (Insert shrug smiley here!) No doubt someone will say I'm not eating enough, but if I ate that much I'm sure I'd gain weight!
Anyway, rant over - I'm even more determined, just not quite sure what to do different. Any ideas welcomed.
Good luck to everyone else still to weigh-in.

This is interesting: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/news/article.cfm?c_id=6&objectid=10787548
From my point of view, something serious needs to be done. I haven't lost any weight at all since the start of 2012, in fact I've gained. 66.4 kg on 1st January, 67.2 kg today.
We've been away twice since the start of the year. 3 nights in January to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. 3 nights this month, invited to a confirmation ceremony in York, we decided to make a 'short break' of it. Every time we go away I end up putting on weight. So, for the last 2 or 3 days I've been doing it differently. For example, yesterday:
1 boiled egg (large, organic, free-range)
1 slice GI seeded wholemeal bread from local baker
I smear of butter, 1 smear of marmalade (on halves of slice, not marmalade on top of butter!)
2 cups coffee, semi-skimmed milk
large cup of coffee
1 beefburger, 444 calories
1 grilled tomato
half large orange
400 ml flavoured water
2 tablespoons oat-bran made into porridge with semi-skimmed milk
Vanilla Onken yogurt
Cup of tea
Half an apple
We didn't have lunch till the middle of the afternoon. Went from church down the sea-front and didn't get back till about 2.30 pm so lunch was about 3. The beefburger is just grilled meat, nothing else, no 'burger bun'. I wasn't hungry. I didn't want anything else except drinks of flavoured water.
I go to aqua-aerobics Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 45 minutes.
I think what has happened is that every time we go away we have an evening dinner. I don't think I need this. It's habit. Even now, we had breakfast (boiled egg etc) about 8.30 am, I've been to aqua-aerobics and I don't feel hungry yet.
I want to get down to the 66s again, at least. Have been bouncing about in the 67s since 1st February.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

Is the idea that you use this as a meal replacement - or is it in addition to your meals??
1 hour Bootcamp for me today please Fred.
I thought it was supposed to feed my muscles after exercise and I'd still stick with my normal meals or did I get it wrong?
This morning, after Insanity, I had 125ml but still had my porridge :rotfl:SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

Just wondering whether to get OH some. He has lost loads of weight since we have both cut out bread / cereal and have been going to bootcamp (why is it that whenever I set out to lose weight it just falls off him ) Thought the protein shakes might help him build some muscles.
1 hour bootcamp for me tonight please Fred.0 -
Hiya
Feeling rough today, I've got a cold, and I won't be doing the exercise I usually do on a Tuesday - pilates, linedancing and walking - so will have to make up for it when I feel better.
Margaretclare - that's an interesting article, although I think anyone who has ever tried to lose weight knows which foods they need to avoid.
It could be useful for someone who is morbidly obese and may not understand why. I don't entirely agree with all of them though - honey, marmalade and jam are blacklisted, but I don't think they should necessarily be outlawed, just eaten in moderation.
Someone who is morbidly obese isn't going to take any notice of a doctor that says you can't have any of the foods you like anymore - they need to rethink how they eat and realise you can have chocolate, crisps, peanuts, etc but only in small amounts.
Hope everyone else is well.

p.s. Fred - I did 2 hours linedancing and walked 2km yesterday.Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -

I was sent that article by someone who's been doing Dukan and lives in New Zealand. I thought it was an interesting article.
Yes, it's necessary to re-think how we eat. I've tried several methods and am now trying something different.chocolate, crisps, peanuts, etc but only in small amounts
I don't think it's possible to eat these in small amounts. I'd prefer not to have any of these items at all because in my book they are not 'food'.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

STS this week for me - not surprising as I ate like a wee piglet at the weekend
At least I didn't gain!
FS can you also log me 1 hour of Zumba
Had an awful migraine this morning but all done by lunchtime so I sat in my PJs and did Chairobics from Fitness TV - not much of a workout but still better than nothing! If it doesn't move, eBay it until it does
