Maybe you could keep up doing them at home or with a friend? I like the
mirror as I can make sure I am doing them right.
Froddo, I do similar exercises at the Boxercircuit class I go to at the gym. I think what I will miss is being outdoors, running up and down sandhills and playing silly 'games'. In theory I could go to the beach and do similar things myself, but in reality would feel a bit of an idiot. Much easier to do things as part of a group.0 -
I quoted a bit prematurely when a power plate question has been asked and answered!
Exercise is taking a major back seat, i haven't done any this month and i'm thinking of even canceling my gym membership because at £30 a month its costly if i don't use it enough. If i work i don't go, and at the moment i'm working a lot more and then visiting people when i'm off back home or up north so i may as well not go for awhile and enjoy the outdoors while its warmer. Perhaps i'll re start in the autumn!0 -
MargaretClare - sounds like I have had something similar to your husband. 12 years ago I had a disc remeoved from my lumbar spine. PM me if you want any further details. I am not allowed to jog or row now, but do most all other activities including horse riding. ( yes I could ride before the op!)
My own exercise has been lack lustre this week. 45 mins on Wii fit. Might get out for a walk later today.
Gym and sauna tomorrow - definately.Jane 21120 -

Well the diet isn't going too well todayI missed brekkie (as usual) and ended up nipping to a burger van outside B&Q for a sausage and bacon cob when we finished shopping
. I'm just going to be extra good for the rest of the day, and will make sure I exercise too.
Had a good day yesterday, spent 2 hours in the park, walking and playing, then did 2.5 hours of gardening when I got back! That was mowing the lawns, then weeding and digging.0 -
