Hi
Thanks for the charts Fred
I went for a swim/walk yesterday so another 3km. Total now 8km.
My DH has just been put on statins by the doctor and given instructions for a low-fat, low-cholestrol diet so I think this is where getting healthy becomes a serious matter for us rather than just a desire.
Matryoshka - I love inspiring stories and transformations like that - I was just concerned he was going to injure himself!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
I didn't get to the computer to post in time for this weeks chart - perhaps just as well as is was +0.5 lb.
Did 2k on bike, whilst warming upfor pilates and kettlebells. Walked 2 miles tonight after work - to blow away the cobwebs. Hopefully get out more this bank holiday weekend.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.Jane 21120 -
That guy sure did transform himself! Shame he didn't do it years ago, but people can only achieve change when they really actually want to (i believe)
I'm off to majorca tomorrow!! I am packing a stringy bikini which i am scared of wearing, but i think that suits me better than a bigger bikini for some reason! So i shall see you guys when i get back, and hopefully i wont over indulge too much
Have a good bank holiday guys!0 -

Thanks Matryoshka - what a transformation, very inspirational.
Off to bootcamp now, glad to see the sun is shining, looking forward to getting some exercise and fresh air at the beach.
Have a great holiday Vix.0 -
Matryoshka, thank you for that video link. It's very inspiring (and I shared it on my FB page for others to see). I used to go to yoga regularly, and absolutely swore by it to keep me feeling supple, and well. I moved house, and didn't find another class to attend. My sister has recently had a knee op, and asked if I'd go to a pilates class with her when it's healed, so I'm hoping to get back into things that way. I definitely need to build up my inner core strength again.
Vix - I hope you have a lovely holiday, and just enjoy yourself, you deserve it. I'm sure the damage will be minimal.
franby - sorry to hear about your DH needing the statins. I think Margaretclare may have been on them previously, but has changed her diet enough that I now think she's not on them (hope I've remembered that correctly)? Did your GP give you any help with a diet plan? I'm sure there's plenty of resources online to help you.
Jane - half a pound is a negligible gain, and as the body fluctuates on a daily basis, you could find that it's gone again in a day.
Well, the sun was shining here first thing, but it's just started raining again! Just when I was thinking about going to have a potter around the garden, or go out for a walk. I've woken up this morning with a really stiff neck, that is painful from the top of my head and down to my shoulders, and unable to turn it one way, so think I must have slept awkwardly. It's a proper pain in the neck! Especially as this is a rare weekend off work for me, and had planned to sort out lots of jobs around the house/garden that have been left while I've been working.
Oh well! I hope the sun is shining where you are, and you enjoy the bank holiday (I'd not even realised it was one of those until I watched the news this morning)! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
sarymclary - thanks for your commnets. Hopefully I will lose that this week.
Done 3k on bike at gym as warmup and 5 miles walking on moors in sunshine this afternoon.

Hi all
Hope you're all enjoying the long weekend.
It was quite a nice day here so I got my boots on and took myself out for a walk. It was sunny, but quite chilly, so I put my scarf and gloves on and really enjoyed it. I've been really busy all week but I haven't had much time for exercise that I can quantify!
Fred - please can you record 1 mile please.
Back soon.

1 hour bootcamp and a 3 mile walk for me over the weekend please Fred.
Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend and doesn't use it as an excuse to visit family and overindulge like I did yesterday.:o0 -
First Bodypump class this morning and I really enjoyed it.
I kept the weights really low as it was my first time, but was pleased that I managed to keep up.
Can I count this towards the challenge Fred - if so 1 hour Bodypump. Thanks0 -

Thank you so much for sharing this inspirational video. I felt so happy for that man. I need to lose 5st and would be very grateful for any help/diet sheets/etc any one of you caring people could offer. I have a back injury/damaged coccyx and am unable to exercise as I cannot bend down.
Any help would be very much appreciated
Thanking you,
