Thanks for the chart Fred. Chuffed for another joint SOTW.

I'm up for the 5lb challenge, am in the 2+ siblings group (I have 3 sisters). Do you need a PM of our starting weights?

    Hey Everyone,

Lois - So sorry to hear about your mum :(

Sorry I abandoned you all, lol. :o I've been stuck in 'diet limbo' for a while. Not really sure what to do, feeling a bit disheartened with it all... but I won't give up!!! :)

I've been inspired by all the SW talk recently, so I have ordered a starter pack from eBay that should be with me soon, so I can have a proper read through and see if it's something I want to try.

Beanie - I've heard a few times that drinking lots of diet drinks (and therefore lots of sweetener) can mess up your appetite and give you cravings. It's something to do with your brain thinking that you've consumed lots of sugar (and will therefore have more energy) - but you haven't, so you start craving food to give you the energy that your body thinks you should have - does that make sense? I'm not sure if it does, lol. I should probably join you in cutting back, I drink 2-3 litres of the stuff a day :o - not good! You'll have to keep us posted on how you get on - you may inspire me to cut down on it :)

Hi Fredsnail, sorry for not keeping you up to date, but I put 9 1/2lb on during my 6 weeks away.

This means my total weight loss to date now stands at 15lb (although I really wish it was 24 1/2lb lol!).

No problem I've updated the chart for next week.
Not sure what the exercise challange is but pretty sure I will join that too.

I'll explain it in a post below for everyone.
Many thanks Fredsnail for all your hard work on our behalf, your a Star.:T:T

I know that as I don't drink tea or coffee if I'm really tired and need a caffine hit I drink a can of diet coke but it affects the amount of water that I drink for the whole day - in that I drink maybe 50 - 75% less than I normally would.

Here's an article that explains the recent study that lolly was talking about:

    Eurovision Pub Crawl

    Our route:

    eurovisionpart1.jpg
    eurovisionpart2.jpg

From the list above you can see the cities we will be covering on our Eurovision pub crawl and the order. I've calculated the miles between the cities.

Obviously we can't cover 17,969 miles in a month, so I've calculated 1000th of the miles between the cities - so for example if we travel from Iceland to Ireland it would be 931 miles in real life - however if someone logs 0.931 miles in exercise they will have travelled to Ireland on our challenge.

If you want to take part in the challenge you can either set yourself a target distance that you want to complete, or you can just log your exercises and see how far you get.

If you do exercise that can't be measured in distance (ie Wii, zumba, insanity, boot camp) log what you've done and how long for and I'll try to convert it into a mileage equivalent - for example insanity would convert into 5 miles as it's a hard high impact work out, yoga would convert to 2 miles as it's lower impact.

Fred: Sorry, i think i got confused with the sibling thing thinking it was the exercise challenge. Scrub me off the sibling list because i prefer not to count my weight loss! In terms of the exercise i am in. I'm gunna see how far i get, and maybe set a challenge once i've started. Great idea!
