    Hi

Thank you for the charts Fred.

Feeling very positive today - sunshine helps doesn't it?!

I've been back through the thread and totted up my exercises and up to last night it was 26 km. I've done another walk/swim of 3 km today so total is now 29 km.

My DD2 cancelled her gym induction and I'm now trying to pluck up the courage to do mine - I do now have something to wear - perhaps over the holidays we'll both get it done.

Can I join the chicks please (though either will be OK), the 5lb challenge and rashly put myself down for the whole marathon (at least I can do it in bits!).
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

Pass any unwanted calories to me Matryoshka, I will know what to do with them :rotfl:

It's so easy to use up the calories, I discovered today. I had loads to use up yesterday because of the intensity of my workout (didn't finish the calories though). Today, I have less to use as my workout wasn't as intensive. Can you imagine that a pear is 100 calories?

I always thought fruit was free

So basically, someone could be eating fruit all day and still wondering why they're not losing weight

Don't know if my phone does aps. It's a Samsung Galaxy. I joined myfitnesspal online ;)

That's the phone I have so it should do apps - you go to the Play shop on your phone (the new name for the Android Market) and you enter myfitnesspal in the search box and it'll come up - you just need to download it and log in - it'll sync to your online account so you can use either or both.

If you have the app you can scan barcodes etc to add food - it's a fab addition IMO - it goes beep and everything :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    hey.
somehow weigh in went really well (i think my wii hates me as had no real change on weight on it this week).
    LOST 4.5lb
Got sotw and sotm in group. So pleased with my progress in 6 weigh ins i have lost 30.5lb (or 2stone 2.5lb)
Lets hope my holiday does not spoil it too much but I am determined to have a good time and not worry about any gains till I get home. I will try not to make to many bad choices but well it is a holiday after all :D

i will check posts but will miss my weigh in in group so can't really join in next weeks.

myfitnesspal has really made me think about my diet. I mean, I don't eat lots of junk, and don't eat too much anyway, but it seems I'm eating mostly the same type of food i.e. carbs, even though it's still well within my daily calories (if this makes sense). Yesterday, I went over my daily carbs allowance by 2 :rotfl:

myfitnesspal breaks down what amount of carbs, fat and protein we are allowed a day and if it weren't for the protein shake I take after exercise, my protein would be very low per day - protein shake is 24, porridge is only 3.

My daily fat consumption is quite low. Where do you get fat from? Is this from the crisps, chocolates etc? :rotfl:

My question is, if I'm still within my daily calories allowance, would it make much difference if I go over my fat, protein or carbs?

    Hi all

Fred - I haven't logged any of this week's exercise, so here goes:
Monday - 2 hours linedancing and 2km walking
Tuesday - 2 hours linedancing, 1 hour pilates and 4km walking
Thursday - 2 hours linedancing and 2km walking
    Friday - 1 hour aquarobics

Sadly, it was the last session of aquarobics today and the linedancing finishes on Monday. I'm going to do keep-fit on Tuesday and Thursday instead of linedancing. I won't be able to do pilates as well, so I'll have to spend more time walking. I'll be back in the UK in 2.5 weeks and I'm going to get into an exercise routine, hopefully including linedancing as I really enjoy it. I'm also going to get the shred DVD and give it a go.

Lissarria - well done again! Have a great holiday, and don't worry about gaining weight, as long as you get back on track when you return, you'll soon lose whatever you gain - you've proved you can do it.

Matryoshka - fruit used to have points on WW until they devised the new propoints system. When I tried WW before I found it really annoying because I'd snack on fruit between meals and have no points left by the evening - then all you could eat was salad and vegetables. I remember pears being particularly high in points, they must have more fruit sugar than apples.

Catch you all again soon, have a great weekend.

    Thanks for the chart Fred.

Can you put me down for 1 marathon please. I am going to aim to do this by walking and cycling as my dodgy knees just don't do much running.

I will attempt the 5lb challenge again, although don't seem to be doing too well with this for last few month - lose a bit / gain a bit

Will also join the Easter Bunny Team (although happy to be a 'chick' if you need to even up the teams)

I'm getting bladdie obsessed with this myfitnesspal :rotfl:

Just finished logging today's food intake and got this:
*Based on your total calories consumed for today, you are eating too few calories. Not only is it difficult to receive adequate nutrition at these calorie levels, but you could also be putting your body into starvation mode. Starvation mode lowers your metabolism and makes weight loss more difficult. We suggest increasing your calorie consumption to 1,200 calories per day minimum.

I have consumed 1,115 calories today and wasn't planning to eat anything else. I may have a bowl of porridge then which will be 140 calories :rotfl:
