Hi all
Sary - hi there, nice to hear from you. I rejoined the thread at the beginning of the year, it's great to be back.
Fred - another 1lb loss, 4km and 2 hours linedancing for me please.
We're returning to the UK in a month, and I really want to lose another 5lbs to get into the next stone bracket by then.
Josie Jump - welcome to the thread. I've done SW in the past, and there are others here who've done it so feel free to post any questions. Don't worry about your minor blip, it will sort itself out in the long run. If you're struggling to get back on the wagon, make a decision that tomorrow is Day One, focus your mind on what you need to do in the coming week and then plan, plan, plan.
ms_night_ryder - as someone else said, you may need to be a little less strict with yourself. The body has a nasty habit of preparing for famine if it isn't getting as much food as usual, and you don't lose weight. With all the exercise you're doing you're bound to see a good result soon.
Lolly - welcome back, sounds like you had a great time!
Good luck for all your weigh-ins.

Another 1 lb off my gain this morning
. See if I can get it down a bit more by weigh in tomorrow.

I just got an email with various voucher codes in it, but I thought of you guys because there are 2 offers for a free 7 day gym passes with 2 providers, plus if anyone wants to try out Weight Watchers, there's a voucher for a first free meeting (not sure if there are any t&c's to consider, so check 1st).
Here's the link to the page to follow up... no strings attached and I'm not at all affiliated with them.

^^ I had to add a couple of spaces in the address to get it to appear in my post, so hope it works!!
I saw a tweet this morning saying to have a Happy Chooseday, where we can make the choice to make it a day that counts... I'm going to choose to make it a day fully on plan, and to drink lots of water to ensure I keep to the recommended 2.5lOne day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Well I had a lovely holiday - too much food, but also too much exercise, lol! By the end of the first day my feet were starting to blister all over (even on the soles of my feet!), I woke up the next morning and everything from my waist down ached - we didn't stop though
. I've been back on the Ibuprofen every day with my sprained foot anyway, so they helped keep me going over the next few days. I was in agony though, lol, and have only just recovered!
The food was disgusting. The money saver in me refused to carry on spending £35+ for the two of us each mealtime to buy decent food, but even the cheapest food (a meal deal each of something like a hot dog, chips and drink) was over £15!!! Luckily we took some fruit and snacks, and there is a petrol station that's only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel, so we could get sandwiches and things rather than keep settling for junk. The food does seem to have affected my weight though as I weighed in 4.5 lbs heavier on sat
. I was down to 3.5 lbs today, so hopefully it'll be water retention or something and will come off soon.
I'm glad I've never been tempted to go to Disneyland/Disneyworld or any such thing. Hot dog and chips!! The pub at the end of our street advertises a 'deal' for burger, chips and a drink. How can anyone eat a burger AND chips?? But they do. They also advertise curry and chips!! That presumably is curry with rice..plus chips? I could not do it.
Thinking of Disneyland etc reminds me of when I visited my half-sister in Florida some years ago. She lives almost on the doorstep of 5 of the big Disney sites. Everyone was amazed that I did NOT want to go to any of them. The family history I'd been finding out had been quite enough 'stranger than fiction'. However, I do remember all the places I was taken to eat, and if I watch 'Supersize vs Superskinny' I am reminded of how many fast food outlets were crowded into a small area along the road where all the Disney sites were. And they all serve huge portions, and all with 'fries'!! If you can't eat it all they give you a container to take home - by the end of the week her fridge was full of boxes of food that I couldn't eat. I've no idea what became of it all!!!Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

I can't imagine eating a burger without chips - lol. Even whilst I have been losing weight I have made the occasional visit to McDonalds and enjoyed it without too much damage.
I am really surprised you have a problem with your weight Margaretclare as you seem to have a small appitite and be very sensible about what you eat.
My new scales arrived today - the good news is that whilst my body fat percentage is higher than it should be, my viseral fat (the dangerous fat around the vital organs) is within normal limts.
Welcome to Josie and Shazmg :wave:0
