Hi all
Welcome back margaretclare, pleased to hear the op went ahead, but surprised you only lost 850g, I thought it would be more!
Vix - the chocolate monster has me in it's grip too, specifically Cadbury's Caramel eggs, I can't resist them.
Life is stressing me just now, that's my excuse. We've moving to Devon next month and despite having given my notice 3 months ago and only having 3 days left to work, my to-do list is getting longer every day.
Fred - can you record 1 hour of linedancing and 150 steps for me please.
Back soon,

I am desperate to try the Cadbury eggs you eat with a spoon.

Morning folks, just a 1 lb loss for me this week, although that brings my total lost since I started to a stone, so I'm happy enough with that
Been a bit lax with the gym over the last couple of days, so only 1.5 miles to add to my total - I think that maybe I was too optimistic with my target :embarasseGetting fit for 2013 - Starting weight 10.1.13 88.1kg

Hello everyone,
Glad to hear your op went well Margaretclare. I had a friend who had the same op, and she became a 'buddy' on behalf of her surgeon for anyone else who was going to have/had the op, and her biggest piece of advice was to rest fully as much as possible, for as long as possible. It's a major op, so treat your recuperation accordingly. Her surgeon likened it to having a hysterectomy for healing time, which I don't think they say you're back to fully fit until at least 6 months. It sounds like your husband is taking good care of you though. Happy new perky boobs!
Vix - I think all of us can relate to having a chocolate addiction. It gives you that massive rush of pleasure in the brain, and the way it melts on the tongue was likened in one experiment to a mouth orgasm!! Either stick with the chocolate, or your fella will be a hollow shell of a man
Lois - good luck with the move, and those beggars at work will just have to finish off the list for you once you've gone.
Well, my diet has been very up/down, but more down. I was away with a friend last week, my eldest son has just left home (something I've mixed feelings about, but he's my eldest baby, so it's tough anyway) and now our eldest cat is back in the vet's for surgery, and maybe having to be put to sleep. All in all, dieting is the last thing I want to do, despite also being on my mind. I'm very fed up with my weight having piled back on again, when I was feeling so much better this time last year. I've been very stressed out lately, and it's resurrected my horrible neuralgia, which I thought had gone for good. Not only has it returned, but it's switched to the opposite side, which has caught me really by surprise. So, all in all, while trying to make better choices, I'm still not properly dieting, and I forgot to weigh in this morning, so it'll have to be a STS please Fred. I don't want to come off the list though, as I know I need to be accountable.
I'm trying to work around a new routine my OH and I have now of going over to a friends' house each week for a meal. The wife does the main dinner course, and I take over the dessert course. It's a bit indulgent usually, but if I keep that as my one treat night of the week, I should work my other days of (hopefully) being good around it. It's an idea at least!
Good luck everyone else. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

A respectable 2lb loss for me this week. I've managed to progress to level 3 of the shred DVD and its really making a difference!
Good luck for everyone weighing in today!0 -
Glad to hear your op went well Margaretclare.
Good luck with the move Lois. Why is it when we leave a job we feel the need to do all thinks we didn't have time to do when we were working?
It is tough when our 'babies' leave home isn't it Sary, but it does get easier.
Well I have managed to get back to the gym this week, a couple of swims and Spinning this morning. I think I am going to give up the 5:2 diet - I did feel more in control of my eating when I was doing it, but found I was putting off going to the gym on my 'fast' days and the weight I lost went straight back on in a matter of days.
A STS for me this week please Fred. Good luck with the weight loss everybody.0 -
Thanks to all for the good wishes. Lois, it was actually 850g from each side, so 1.700 kg in total. Even so, I don't seem to have actually lost much weight overall, but then, there is still swelling, bruising etc. This is only the 5th post-op day. Yes, I've had it emphasised to me several times 'rest, rest, rest' to allow the body to heal itself. Healthy eating and lemon tea. DH is looking after me like royalty, bless him. I'm trying to knock off the painkillers, though - co-codamol - because I don't much like the constipation that goes with them. I go on to a site called BreastHealthOnline, an international site and you do get a lot of comment, opinion etc on there. I'll see what the weight is by next week. I won't be doing any exercise much for quite a while, though.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

+2lbs gain since last Wednesday. The week didn't go well in all sorts of ways. Not as fit at the moment cycling but have found it nice tidying up the garden. No chocolate for me; more a "fan" of peanut butter and coconut (lots of it recently). Hope March is a better month.0

Oh no, it's Wednesday and I forgot to weigh myself again - I think subconsciously I knew it wouldn't be good news.
Sary - I think I finally accepted that I'm leaving myself today and took the pressure off. If it doesn't get done, I don't care - someone else can do it.
See you later,
