Blimey I feel so inadaquate with all this excercise going on
Ditto Beanie!! Haven't done much at all tbh. Don't seem to be able to find the time or the energy
DD visited the surgeon today, surgery is a no go. We expected as much, there are too many joints involved. If she can strengthen up the other muscles, then maybe in the future, but even if she gets her other joints up to full strength, then there's only a 50-50 chance that the op would work, so going to pick up her wheelchair tomorrow and take it from there.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -

Hi Mand. I'm new to this thread too. You just post what exercise you've done, if any and let people know how much weight you want to lose etc. Loads of supportive people and helpful hints and tips. (Like I said I'm fairly new to the thread so someone else will be more help!) Welcome to our lovely thread Mand-mcr. As Fred said just keep posting and don't be afraid to ask if you are unsure of anything.
Well I have lost the plot in terms of eliminating wheat from my diet. Still no bread, but have eaten pasta and biscuits.
Doing much better with the exercise - 1 hour Boxercise last night and 1 hour Bodypump this morning.
Also I have started on my New Years Resolution - began Ballroom Dancing this afternoon. Really enjoyed it, but found it so confusing and spent a lot of time falling over my own feetHopefully it will begin to sink in as the weeks progress. Not sure whether I can count this towards the exercise challenge Fred - if so I did 1 and a half hours.

Hey Guys,
Forget the meatballs (although they are yum!)... IKEA is amazing!!! I LOVE that place, I feel like a kid in a candy shop at Ikea, lol!
Jess - Your experience sounds similar to mine. My Dad was a similar age to your mum when he had his stroke, and I'm also very aware that I don't truly understand what he is going through - if I did, I wouldn't still be a smoker, even though my Dad often asks me when I'm going to quit.I do worry that I'll never 'get it', and at 28 years old (and 13 years after it happened), I often think that I should by now! So it is really good to hear your story
Go Beanie! :j
Welcome to the thread Mand! :j
Well I've had the weirdest few days dietwise. I mysteriously put on 7 lbs the other day! I thought back and wondered if I'd eaten too much, too much salt, etc, but there really was no explanation for it. I assumed that it would go within a day or two like usual fluctuations do, but the next day I was only 3 lbs lighter, and another 2 lbs lighter today. It really got me down after all of my effort, so I've been extra good, trying to get it back off. Not happy! I've never really fluctuated (that I've known!) by more than 3-4 lbs (and that's only when I've overindulged) so it's really weird. Just looking forward to the day that I wake up and be 7 lbs lighter - now that'd be nice!
Hoping that I can lose another 3 lbs by tomorrow as I'll be really annoyed with a gain or STS after all of this work!

Ooh, almost forgot to add... 5.9 km from having to go out and about without the car thanks to the snow and ice. Most of this distance was pushing by littlest in the pushchair up and down hills, over grass (the paths are deadly at the mo) - which is not an easy task! Hoping the roads will improve by tomorrow as I really need to get a lot of bits done, especially as we're supposed to have snow all day and night on both Fri and Sat! :eek:0
