Neither can I Vix but I cant say Ive ever needed them TBH :rotfl:
Lol - this is so true, seems like we learn a lot of things just to pass exams and then never use them in everyday life.
Another 1 hour Bodypump for me please Fred. Tried to increase my weights this week, but my bad shoulder is beginning to ache a bit. Will have to keep them low and hope that the repetitions are doing something.
Thinking about it Bodypump is very mathematical - increase weights by half to 1/3 for legs, adding weights and doubling to find total, 800 reps divided by number of tracks. Vix, get yourself down to a Bodypump class :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
How do I work out how many calories I've consumed in an home made sandwich? For example, I've just had a medium white bread roll, with 2 slices thinly cut ham (calories will be on packet), spread with low fat marge, a layering of lettuce (probably 1 leaf iceburg broken up), small squirt of low fat mayo, 2-3 slices tomato, 2-3 slices cucumber, 1 medium egg, and 2 thinly cut slices of onion. Some of the ingrediants will have the information on the packet, but some don't come in packets. Is there anywhere, where I can find out what calories I'm putting into my sandwich. I know it won't be exact, but at the moment, I don't have a clue.0

Hi Rob - you could try the Food Focus website. As a rough guesstimate I'd say your roll is about 300 calories as you've included lots of low calorie foods in it like ham and salad - the calories would mainly be in the roll, spread, mayo and egg.

You know I just love this thread, seeing all these people making big changes to their bodies. I have currently been losing weight by doing a program called p90x. It's tough and sorta expensive but well worth it!0

I was thinking to myself this morning how i've managed to get into size 10 trousers. I think some of it is not having as much alcohol as i used to - and i think the other half is that when i had a normal monthly cycle i would get huge cravings for chocolate/anything fatty, but since i've been on a rubbish contraception my cravings for that have completely gone. Its literally i "fancy" chocolate rather than omg i am going to die if i don't eat it!
I ate really badly yesterday, fish and chips, chocolate, a meringue/cream/strawberry thing/crisps/bread. I think i needed it because i feel better today!
I'm driving up to Lancaster for the last time to see Pete. Hopefully we will have time to go to lake windermere because that was our first proper day out togeher and i remember being all nervous and awkward!
Have a good bank holiday everyone, hope the weather !!!!!!s off so we can all enjoy it!0 -
Have a lovely day Vix, whatever the weather. I have a picnic all packed ready to meet DD's - so fingers crossed for sunshine, otherwise will be eating it in the car.
I agree with you about chocolate and hormones. When I was younger I would have killed for a bar of chocolate at certain times of the month. Now I have hit the menopause chocolate doesn't bother me, (mind you I could still do some serious damage for a cream cake)
