    Welcome to the thread :T:j

There are some good tips in these links.

I've been doing a metabolic reset over the last couple of months as I've had many years of low calorie eating which I think have lowered my metabolism. My calculations meant that I've doubled the calories I was eating and in 10 weeks I've gained 1lb over all.

In a couple of weeks I'll come off the reset and hopefully start losing.

    Good luck.

Thank-you Fredsnail, interesting reading there :)

Are you resetting metabolism by diet alone then? How would you know how long to do this for?

Im also looking into how cortisol affects weight. I suffered a trauma recently and my stress levels are through the roof....im jumpy, teary and even to my own ears my voice is high, tight and unnatural. I dont know if my cortisol levels will be too high now, Im trying to read and understand my own body a bit better as I want this weightloss to be sucessful after many years of trying every faddy diet under the sun and ending up heavier.
You'll make my day if I know I've been helpful to you in some small way,
so please press my :T thanks :Tbutton x

    Hello all,

Thanks for the chart and "congrats" last week. Since last Wednesday, I've continued with the usual biking, gardening and lesser calorie consumption. This resulted in +2lbs which I thought would happen based on the week befores weight loss of 4lbs. Today I have noticed a surge in my appetite so things may now get tougher to maintain any progress regarding weight loss/general health.

Don't worry about doing your Maths at 26 Vix - I was 36 when I redid mine in order to get into Uni. I think that we appreciate learning more as we get older, enjoy it.

Thanks for the links Fred, off to read through the information. My metabolism is definitely not doing what it should and my weight loss has stalled. I have really upped the exercise to try to get things moving, but another STS this week.

Exercise to add to the challenges please Fred -

    1 hour Body Pump
    10 lengths swimming
    8 miles walking

Hi everyone... Hope you're all doing ok and that you've had a lovely summer so far!

It's been a while but I've been busy getting, ahem, busy... I'm 6 months pregnant! So weight loss has gone out of the window and in has come the cheese and the carbs ;)

Still I'm trying to keep active where I can, so I'd like to join in with next month's challenge to motivate myself to keep moving! I can no longer do zumba :( so at the moment I'm going to aqua robics and walking where I can instead. As I get bigger, sis is the temptation to spend my evenings on the sofa!
