    Hi

Welcome littlegreenparrot and cabriolean - feel free to join in the chat and ask any questions, we're a friendly bunch. :)

It's been so hot here today, I feel like I've lost weight through perspiration! Had a very quiet day trying to keep cool.

Fred - can you put me down for an hour's walk yesterday please.

Hope everyone's had a good weekend.

    Have a good week!

    LL :)

    Welcome Littlegreenparrot and Cabriolean.

Congrats Beanie - glad you had a fab time.

I've spent the weekend cleaning 2 mouldy fridges and a dirty freezer. Also photographing damage done to furniture by the tennant who's just moved out of my Grandad's house (we rent it to pay for his care home fees).

Detailed email now sent to the estate agents managing the property so they can't just pay his bond back without fixing the damage.

Given the weekend I've had he better not try to dispute the damage!!!

I was a size 16 when i was around your age cabriolean, then the weight fell off me, went back on a bit more and now i'm a 10 (give or take a few size 12's) You'll do it i'm sure! Are you following anything or trying to do it natural?

Hi littlegreenparrot, welcome! Are you following a plan? The other girlies have some good advice if you are. I just hover and butt in now and again!!
    Hi!
The problem isn't that I eat unhealthily, simply that I eat too much, in June before my exams I weighed less than 11 stone, I don't stress much during exams it's the waiting, and now I'm nervous about going to uni.
I plan to drink a lot of water to lose as much water weight as fast as possible, I also need to cut back on what I'm eating, I want to do 50 sit-ups a day and tone my thighs. I don't want to be almost a stone heavier than I used to be the last time I see my boyfriend for at least a couple of months. Also, half my clothes don't fit me right now including most of my favourites.
I run for at least 45 minutes a day and have been doing that for years. To be honest I do enough exercise, but between the extra free time at home and the stress I've just been eating constantly.
I think I'm just going to try to keep note of what I'm eating, I think seeing the amount will be enough to slow me down a little. :undecided
Hopefully I won't have to do much past that as I am a size 42 E on the chest, big-hipped, muscular and broad shouldered enough that I've always managed to maintain a fairly healthy weight even if I could have done with dropping a couple of pounds (now more than a stone).
  • Thank you for the lovely welcome.

Vixarooni - At the moment I'm using My fitness pal and trying to track everything I eat honestly. I find it helps to see it actually written down, otherwise I just don't realise how much I'm scoffing.
I've recently started work in a new area and am using a park and ride car park, but walking instead of the bus. Very MSE and 1/2 hour walk each way.

I used to be a lot more active, and felt better for it, so I am trying to train myself back into it - so its habit rather than a decision (which I wimp out of!)

Cabriolean - I know what you mean about the clothes. One of my motivations is the pile of beautiful things I can't get into.
I lost weight the first few months at University, I found it all very affordable and easy to fit in. Just have to try and stay off the booze : ).

    Morning all

Fred - 1lb off for me this week.

That maintains my pound a week average, but I'm a bit disappointed as I weighed less on Friday!

I'll take Beanie's usual advice and keep plodding, onwards and downwards. :)

Good luck to everyone else that's weighing in.

Hello all, im currently 10lbs in to my weight loss journey (Id like to lose 2st more) I am really unfit with dog walking being my only exercise til recently.
I am now doing 2x 20 mins on treadmill per day at 6.5 mph. If I even run a bit im too knackered to go back to walking....however someone told me if I run before each meal it will boost my metabolism to burn what I'm about to eat.
Does anyone know if this is worth doing, esp as I can only run for like 3 mins? (obv I.ll still do my 2 walks too but at other times ) Is this enough to at least help a tiny bit?

Thanks in advance, any metabolism boosting tips gratefully received, as im in a good headspace re my food intake, but need help in other areas lol
You'll make my day if I know I've been helpful to you in some small way,
so please press my :T thanks :Tbutton x

I'm sure you can do it with quite a small amount of effort! Going to uni alone will probably equal a weight loss! Good luck with starting that by the way!
