l:How much nicer will that wine taste if you put it out and set a timer for one hour to complete any housework you have to do. If it ain't done its too late, the wine will be opening!
Bess, what a great idea, can I pinch it and post it on SparkPeople which is the site I use to keep me diet-motivated (it works for me)?
I'd recommend opening the wine then setting the timer - then you can tell yourself you are letting the wine "breath" whilst you do the housework. Double whammy.
My favourite wine-o'clock song is "it's 5 o'clock somewhere"What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Well in a roundabout kind of way - it worked !!!!
Set myself an hour of housework .... Got carried away and had only consumed half a glass by 11pm :T
Most weekend jobs done BUT there is a flaw in the plan..... Just looking at my tidy (ish) house and suddenly remembered I have a house full of smelly , messy boys tonight !!!! So will prob end up doing it all again tomorrow .... :rotfl: doh !!!!
Ah well never mindI wish this blasted sun would go in - my windows are dirty
Right must get - have found the Great Takeaway Secret Book online , think that could be right up our street

***miserable post alert ****
What an awful day yesterday was ! Had a falling out with ex which really upset me. Not the falling out but the fact he wouldn't let me explain something. Eldest repeated something I said but completely out of context so it sounded horrible ! I would never want to hurt his feelings .... But he talked over me , called me nasty & then stomped off. The worst thing was I actually meant it in a good way ??!! Anyway I then went out with my friend and ran into loads of people I knew from ages ago and had to do the whole " yeah my ex is great , we get on really well - he's a nice guy" speech !!! Cos he is - though am guessing nobody will repeat that to him ?!
So I ended up having a few drinks (& a few tears) came home & went straight to bed.....
My house is a tip !!!! So now I have to do that again as well .... Though boys WILL be helping.
I guess the outcome is - why do I spend so much of my time worrying/doing things for others when this is what I get in return ?!
**** moan over *****
Anyway - onwards & upwards time to worry about myself ! Will probably be a relatively quiet day , after housework am going to read my book & get school stuff ready for tomorrow
Will be back a bit later & hopefully a bit chirpier :rotfl:

Hugs. Deep breath. It wasn't your fault. It was just another break up moment to add to the break up pile
.
Take care today0 -
Thanks Bess
Feeling a little better now. Boys have made no attempt to tidy up !!! But , they are all sat watching Johnny English and hearing them roaring with laughter is cheering me up no end
Hopefully by the time I see the ex again it will all have settled down and if not , then I have plenty to do so I will make myself scarce while he is here.
So aiming for a positive week this week - no stressing & try to worry so much - it doesn't do me any good !
Spent £30 last night !!!! Yikes ... No wonder my head is banging
Will try & cut it back a bit this week. Nothing ££ planned and boys supposed to be staying at exs next weekend so may just have a quiet one and get some stuff done around here. Meals not planned today but boys can "forage" for lunch & big bowls pasta all round for dinner I think !
