Trouble is Satch - I know exactly how that would go .......

Anyway have decided I am not going to let it spoil my weekend - I will carry on and do as I please :D it's just the disappointment for the boys that makes me cross.

Wine o'clock has been delayed tonight. Youngest gone to school disco with a couple of friends. He just rang me to say Mum No 1 is already in the pub (??!!) Mum No 2 is too tired to go out and pick them up so they are walking home..... Mum No 3 says "err no you aren't - I will pick you all up". Now its not very MSE but there's a £10 prize for whoever can guess who Mum No 3 is ....... :rotfl:

I don't know whether to laugh or cry really - so I am going with laughing before I kill someone :D

    Morning All :)
    It's a beautiful day today - brilliant sunshine - lovely :)

At 8.36 this morning , I quit. I hereby quit from being a worrier ..... It's getting me nowhere - fast !!!. I went to my friends yesterday morning. I was there for 2 hours. Whilst I was there she made & froze 2 dinners , did her ironing , cleared a kit cupboard & sorted her paperwork. She is self emp & struggling at the moment. When I commented that she was remarkably chirpy she said " what's the point in worrying it's s waste of time & energy - I deal with what needs / want to do today and don't worry about the rest" .... Wise words :D

So worry no more. Kids are happy (ish) , healthy , good job , house safe ish for now ..... What is my problem exactly ???!!! It's like I am waiting for the next thing to knee me in the wotsits - but worrying won't stop it will it ?

So just doing my meal plan and then get on , lots of housework to do and I want to start my week ahead again. My spending diary is going well but way too much on food ! Also just remembered my car needs taxing soon .... Why haven't I got a "car pot" ? Will start this when I get paid. :)

    Right off I go !

I'm not a worrier, it really doesn't help and in many cases can make things worse. You can end up paralysed and bogged down to the point where you can't function.

Not everyone can turn it off though, it takes practice and you have to work at it.

I sometimes think worrying comes from over analyzing things. You get into the what if this happens, or that happens mindset and it can soon snowball into what if this then/and that happens.:eek:

Only deal with what you know, don't try and second guess. Do it when it needs doing and then move on to the next thing and forget about the last thing.

Anyway the sun is shining and it's another beautiful day and Mr Toad isn't dead yet so as far as I'm concerned that's a bonus.

I'm off to pack a bag as I have a series of meetings in London next week so I'm traveling down in the morning and staying until Friday.

Mr T are you sure you don't know me? this is me all over. I have decided to try and enjoy life, instead of stopping myself because I have a fear if I do something terrible will happen.

Have a good day all and try to stop worrying too Coco! :)

  • I'm with you on this one! what's the point in worrying when you can't do anything about it but your best?
Sometimes it keeps me awake the amount of debt but then i pull myself together because on the positive side it's going down not up!!!!:D

That's what we all need to do, look on the positive side :T

    Well the weekends here :T
Thank the lord ...... It's been one of the worst weeks ever sadly. We have had major work issues , school issues , my emergency fund has been obliterated following a huge unexpected bill - in a nutshell , it's been horrible........

Looking on the bright side - I must be on the other side now hopefully :). As a positive - if I didn't have my emergency fund I would have been screwed so it's thanks to you chaps I was a least able to deal with the disaster and not resort to a credit card ! (not that I have one I could use but you get the point)!

So , Christmas must be frugal and organised for sure - I have no option now. Kids have been good & understand that something's got to give :A

I won't do a money update as I really don't know where I am it's gone so off track ! I will work it all out tomorrow. Meantime I have to spend at least 4 or 5 hours working today to minimise how far behind I get over next few weeks ! (that's the downside of dealing with other people's work melt-downs :( )

Have a great day all :D

Oooh I have just realised the irony - last week I was banging on about not worrying so much & how it doesn't stop bad stuff happening if you do worry ....... Boy did that come back and kick me up the backside :rotfl:
