Morning All - it's finally lazy day !!! Well not so lazy lots to do !
Paperwork mountain on my dining table needs sorting / shredding / filing. Promised to cook a roast (why ??!!) and need to Hoover through etc. Had a tax refund of £236 !!!! Not sure where that came from , totally unexpected, so £100 for boys/treats and rest in the bank.
Everything is ticking along ok , not stressing so much about loan / court/ mort etc is a nice feeling. Finally feeling better after being ill on & off for 4 weeks. Eldest is keen to get on with getting house on Market so I really need to start the declutter process
Bank checked ..... Have £29 in there , £20 due on Tuesday & £10 in my purse until thurs .... Easy peasy barring disasters - then my new budget is ready to go :T
Right another cuppa then must get out of pjs !!!!!! XThe final chapter - £4893 to go out of £30K0 -

Morning Coco.
For once I'm not having a lazy Sunday
I'm in London all next week so had planned to travel down this evening as usual. It's either that or up at 05:00 tomorrow to catch the train!
Then I had a cunning plan. I'd not travel this evening, I had no plans for today so I'd travel this morning, check into the hotel and spend the rest of the day in the British museum. :j
So I booked myself into a nice hotel in Russell Sq, close to the museum and not too far from where I need to be tomorrow.
I also managed to get myself a 1st class rail ticket for less than standard class by booking on-line so the bean counters will be ecstatic. :A
I fully expect to feature in the next copy of Bean Counter and Abacus monthly being presented with my MSE brownie points for this feat of sacrifice. :rotfl: :money:
I'm now hurtling south in 1st class comfort drinking coffee and sending this from my laptop. I'm meeting some friends for dinner this evening so my week away is off to a good start.
Enjoy your, not so, lazy day and your Sunday roastOne by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
My lazy day here today too. I have already made a cake, am just about to head off into the garden, have dishes to do, a whole pile of ironing and some book marking BUT daughter is out so I have the whole house and day to myself!0

Well roast made & cleared up , 3 loads of washing , hoovered through sorted paperwork pile..... Have a pile of clean washing the size of everest so really need to sort that as well....
Had a look at flylady thread earlier - made me tired just looking at it :rotfl: spent £9 on bits earlier including a chicken. Am going to watch corrie in a mo & work out my 50 meal plan while I do. Not a structured day by day plan - just 50 meal ideas we can look at in the evening and pick one for the next day. Always have meat in freezer and will stock cupboards with staples so this idea should work hopefully
Will type it up & laminate it tomorrow and pop it on the fridge so we can all see it.
Time for a cuppa

Hello Coco,
I've been reading this thread since May but have only just got around to creating a profile for myself. But I did want to sign in and say well done with everything, you've been really inspirational, staying focused and keeping your sense of humour. Good luck with everything. The support on this thread is brilliant; I've only posted one other time on this forum, and some other poor person got accused of creating multiple profiles, just because I agreed with him and we are both newbies! I think I'll still to this thread from now on0 -
Hi Cybermam , thanks for the nice post
they are a nice bunch on here !
Work has been crazy this week - it's Thursday already tomorrow and my work is running 2 days behind already !!! I need to catch up but I don't want to start bringing it home .... It will never end !
Kept an eye on bank and I have a little left & it's pay day tomorrow :T
I can't wait to start my new budgetvery exciting not to play the " I need to find an extra £150 this month" game !!! So any extra I do find from eBay etc can go towards a debt
Still need to organise my house / life but I am getting there. Ex visited last night and I was reminded of one very important thing ..... There is a reason he is an exand it's not my problem any more !
Food wise , doing ok (ish) but have bought lunch twice in last 2 weeks - this has to stop ! It's a waste of money when I have food in the house.
Dishes & washes beckoning .... Hope everyone is well

Hi Coco, dont beat yourself up about buying the occasional lunch, but dont let it creep into being a regular occurance. Twice in 2 weeks..... thats once a week....
Its nice when you are reminded why ex's are ex's! no matter how well you get on with them, and need to be seen to get on for the kids.
Nearly Friday!! Only one day of work to go hurray.
x:hello: The grass is not greener, it just looks that way from a distance :hello:0 -
Thanks iamdebtfree
will get myself organised so no more bought lunches (apart from the odd treat !).
It's just the ex turns up and says this house is miserable .... But only cos he moans constantly - about everything. I guarantee if he won lottery , was dating Cheryl cole and lived in a mansion he would still moan ..... It wears me out :rotfl:
Anyway , really busy week , sat already ??!!! Am going shopping this afternoon (with a small budget) then going out tonight with my friend
Catch up housework / money tomorrow as no plans yet.....
Have £3.68 left in my purse so that's going in my debt pot - will go through everything tomorrow and see exactly where I am and start the month money organised !
Quiet cup of tea before the misery arrives ....

So I had a nice day yesterday and spent £47 on myself ...... Still feeling guilty though
For the first time ever I went to a make up counter & had them match me a foundation .... Omg what a difference !!! My skin looks lovely :j £24 but sooooo worth it ! Then I went and bought a really pretty top. A real treat - so i came home , put my best jeans & new top on and off out I went. What did I do whilst looking nice ? I went and sat on my friends sofa drinking wine .... And the came home again :rotfl: I really do need to get a life !!!
Usual Sunday morning bomb site here ! I got a book (from library) that I have been dying to read for ages but I MUST get this place in order first.
Bank running ok - budget yesterday was £50 so spare £3 going in my debt pot. I also have to wade through my wardrobe & get some stuff on eBay - I have been saying that for weeks but really must get on with it !
It's all quiet here so am going to drink tea and enjoy it for an hour then I must get on with it. I used to be able to get so much done on a Sunday .... I really want to get back to that

Hello,
I am guessing this is the right place to write my first entry as the heading sums me up. I am a very overwhelmed new user only discovering this website yesterday. Finally added up my debts yesterday and told my partner who was very shocked and understandably very angry it has set us back a year on our plans.
Why can't I seem to stop spending, it makes me unhappy but can't seem to stop.
None of my friends know as I seem to be a secret spender with nothing to show for it.
Help me.
