  • Thanks Cinders & Heffi :)

Monday done ! NSD today , meals as planned, lunch for tomorrow sorted. Haven't checked bank today so I must do that in the morning to keep on track :)

So , I have opened envelope - I have just over 3 weeks & then go through it all again. Rang & went through Inc/exp again. No they can't drop rate , no they can't offer any help - they want full contractual payment + arrears etc etc. So where do I go from here ? I am not sure tbh. Told ex - didn't have a lot to say. I was asked for his Inc/exp so all I could say was he hasn't provided it - they can sort that out with him I guess !

Anyway , I have deposit money (just) & kids are happy with moving so ....... I am not really fussed anymore to be honest :)

Mad day at work again today - it's going to be one of those weeks again :D

Hope everyone had a good day !

I wonder, would you get enough rent to cover the mortgage? Rental rates in my area are so high, we could rent this house out and move north or travel when we retire (that's the plan).

Or, what about ex moving back in and you & the kids moving out? He could rent out the extra bedrooms for weekdays (loads of people want 5-day accommodation and go home at w/ends). Then he'd have somewhere for the kids to stay at the weekend!
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Morning Satch :) you were bright & early !

Good suggestions but couldn't rent it for enough to cover mort & sec which would mean I would end up paying shortfall (which would be quite a bit!). As for ex moving in ..... I did mention that before but he didn't seem keen. Basically , he just needs someone to sort the whole mess out for him .... So that will be me then !

I am seriously thinking about a 2nd job to get me through Christmas and then think again in the new year - it's just if I have the energy for it really :) Well either way I only have 3 weeks to think about it and get an agreement in place .... No pressure then :D

Its not helped by the fact I have been really poorly for a few days on and off so I am not really thinking straight at the mo !

Never mind , worst case is I walk - at least then they will chase ex for money as well as me !

Right , on with the day - have a good one :)

    Evening All :)

    Hope everyone is well ?
Another dull day for me - 2 surveys done , food as planned , bank acct checked :)

And ..... I had a little letter yesterday .... PPI claim is going to pay out ... Big time !!!! :T Tbh am a little shell shocked ! I had a letter of apology and the following : arrears on sec will be cleared , a decent reduction in monthly payment -and - best of all - the balance has been reduced by nearly the negative equity amount .... !!!!
I haven't really got my head around it yet :D
But it will be "manageable" payments & allow us to sell & just about break even & have a teeny tiny emerg fund !!!

But , the main thing for me ? Is that maybe my life can start again , maybe I won't spend my whole life thinking about mort & sec loan :) hopefully , a month from now at the most it will all be sorted :T

Anyway, for now I am going to do the dishes & work out how yo make my last £30 last till Tuesday :)
