A nice peaceful evening

My morning consisted of a 30 mile round trip to pick eldest up , cutting the grass & clearing up cat sick ...... So doing well with my selfish new "me" life :rotfl:
I did however do a mile & half run this morning :T
Blimey i have got a lot done since 7am !!!

Making a roast today (first time in weeks proper roast) & making tomorrow nights dinner & lunches so I can start the week running (literally) Still haven't opened the brown envelope .... Must do that later & see what date it will be ......

Cup of tea & on again .... No rest for the wicked

3 loads of washing done
Cleared out car & found £2.78 for my change pot
Checked oil & water (oil low but will wait till I get paid next wk)
Lunches made for tomorrow
Recycling recycled !!
Now for some house work !

Made a list of little bits & pieces I need to buy. Underwear for boys , new towels , strip light bulbs , spot light bulbs , house plants etc. Nothing majorly ££ just odd things we need.
Will buy one thing each week if I can come in under budget (have finally set my budget to 5 wks a month )

The weeks big job .... My bedroom - it's a dumping ground and , frankly , a s*** hole !!!!! Needs sorting badly

That has reminded me of the job I have been meaning to do for ages, and keep putting it off, it is only me in there so no one to impress, but it really needs a lick of paint and a general tidy up

You make me feel tired just reading about it!

I've been to watch a local sports car club speed trial event this morning. I had a very nice burger for lunch cooked by a friend at the event.

He has an interesting way of doing it. He set up a gas ring, camping variety, in the back of his Land Rover put a griddle plate over the flame and cooked them on that. :T

His Land Rover is going to smell of burgers for weeks! Why he didn't set it up on the grass I don't know, it was a lovely warm sunny morning.

Very cross with myself again ! Seem to do fine with my spending diary for first couple of weeks after payday then it tails off on week three and come week four - I have hardly any money left ! So , during October I need nagging please , I want to account for every single penny. I have proved to myself I can manage on a small budget , I just need some help with the daily recording. If I can do a full month , I will feel a lot more in control :T

Dont really need any groceries as have what I need for the weekend and not planning on going anywhere so it should be minimal damage to bank balance !

why dont you carry a little note book around with you, i do as soon as i spend anything on that day i write it down really helps to see where my money goes.

I've recently stumbled upon this forum (as I'm looking for ways to become more frugal) and found your posts so blummin' riveting that I even registered on here to congratulate you, to the sterling job you're doing with regards to your ex/sons/life in general.

I find you are an inspiration to us all!

Yuk , it was dark when I got up at 6.15 ... Dark & miserable .... I HATE winter so I apologise in advance for the next 6 months on grumpiness envelope is in my bag to open at lunch time .... I know what it is and what I will have to do - I guess I am just gathering the energy to deal with it .... There are 2 choices really , either I take the hit and pay full whack & live on next to nothing (assuming ex won't paymore ) or I stand up and say I can't afford it , do your worst .... I just don't know what to do.

Pleased to say the sun has just made an appearance :T
So that makes me feel better ! Must go wake youngest up in a minute .... But loathe to break the peace & quiet - not quite ready for MMM yet - that's Monday Morning Moaning :rotfl:

Hi. I have been lurking on this site for weeks now, and stumbled on your post a couple of days ago. Have spent hours reading your story and I have to agree with what so many people have said before....you are amazing, and so strong.
