    Hope everyone is well?

Have nearly made it through month! HUGE car bill paid, uniform etc all done ..... I have £130 left until 25th .... I think that's doable :)

I have done my new budget now I know what all my bills are and I can cover everything (inc saving towards a small emergency fund and a "car/mot/tax" fund. There will be a little left to look at debt repayment as well. So, I need to get my credit report off and wait for the shortfall figures then take it from there!

It's all going to be down to organisation and planning ahead.... It's a work in progress :D

    Time for the dishes :)

Soooooooo , hello all! its been such a long time! So much has happened but not a lot has changed if that makes sense? Last year was a dreadful year from start to finish , glad its over!!
I have been reading on here when I get chance & still practice lots of tips that I have learnt from here , I just need to get back on it. As always, I spend all my life stressing about my family & job, there has been little time to worry about myself & I need to break that cycle.
Debt wise , it hasn't got worse but it hasn't got better , so that's a work in progress. Maybe I need a new diary , a fresh start maybe, I will have a ponder on that....
I have had such stressful times recently , that when I get the chance to stop , I just vegetate and watch rubbish TV ..... Not good!

So I need a plan, and some motivation & some organising !!!!

I will get myself together this weekend and make some lists , unfortunately I am one of those people that gets more productive the more stressed I am and its not a good way to be!

I hope everyone is ticking along OK?

Thanks Mr T , I hope you are well & enjoying retirement?

    Weeks shop done , £37 in I*eland & £13 in Mr A.
Still have meat in freezer and cupboards now full, menu for week sorted.
    Must do electric tomorrow.
Couple of hours housework/washing now then chill out evening with film & glass of wine. Both boys home tonight (first sat night in ages!!)
Will do a roast tomorrow as we are all home.

Have downloaded the spend tracker app , looks really good so have set that up today , haven't used spending diary for a while as I never have it on me , hoping having this on my phone and always with me will do the trick!

Did 7 minute workout this morning ........very unfit (don't have to worry about weight)

    Its a start

I'm fine thanks Coco and I'm loving retirement. I'm finding plenty to do.

I've always enjoyed history and read a lot of history books over the years so I decided that now I had the time I'd get involved at a more hands on level in something else that interests me, archaeology.

I've done a couple of practical field archaeology courses and now volunteer on local archaeological projects.

Last November I was involved in a 2 week survey on the site of a potential Saxon battle that took place in 633.

My dad was a civil engineer and I was taught to use a theodolite and to survey when I was about 8 years old. Because I knew how to survey they gave me a quick introduction to the modern techie, computerised, GPS enabled theodolite and set me on.

I also wrote an article on the dig which is going to be published in a book next month along with the results of the survey.

I shall be famous. The book and academic paper will end up in university libraries and perhaps lurk in the darkest corners of the Internet and may be read by at least 20 to 30 people over the next 500 years or so. :D

I even got my photo in the local paper! :o

I've been to a pre-dig planning meeting today for a dig starting in April to investigate a viking enclosure and meeting place.

    Busy, busy and very happy.

Certainly sounds like you are keeping yourself busy Mr T! How on esarh did you find the time to work?! ☺

Not much to report this end , ventured to the village shop for a couple of forgotten bits , boy is it expensive! Roast beef for dinner it was yummy!

Doing £1 a day challenge, shouldnt be too difficult to scrape that together. Just need to change my bed and then I can get in it

Can't believe its Sunday night again already!
