So this is my last lazy day !!!
Haven't decided about New Years Eve yet - I normally hate it. May do something completely different like go for a run!
Happy New Year Coco.
Did you go for a run?
I went round to a friends house with the usual suspects, we had a great night. Good food, good company, nice beer and a few of us took our guitars and had a bit of a jam and a sing song.
I'm afraid I need to brush up some of the AC/DC stuff but the Bon Jovi was alright.
The new girlfriend was impressed, she had no idea I could play the guitar.
Today we're off to the boat for a couple of days peace and quiet to recover. In fact, look at the time , I need to get showered and organised. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
Happy New Year All
Welcome to 2014!!! We have torrential rain & gales here today ..... Lovely !
Hope everyone is well & recovering from last night? I am glad I only had a couple of glasses of wine and one glass of bubbly and I feel fine today :j
Back to work tomorrow .... Yuk!The final chapter - £4893 to go out of £30K0 -
Happy New Year Coco!! :beer:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0

Happy New Year All
Back to work tomorrow .... Yuk!
Work, I remember that. I'm struggling to come to terms with how quickly time is passing. I took early retirement in April last year, it only seems like 5 minutes ago but it has been 9 months. :eek:One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
So ....... What's changed so far this year ? Not much !!!!
A lot needs to though. I feel like I limped through last year but didn't really get anywhere ? This year will be different
I finally went back to the doctors and went back on AD, I need it for now. Just took a while to admit it! I spend my evenings watching trash tv, moaning about how much I have to do .... Whilst not really doing any of it! My house is a mess, and, judging by the mirror this morning, so am I ! I am back to having the odd ciggie (roll my own of course :money:) and the odd glass of mid week wine ..... Not good. I am slim but unfit and appear to be hibernating from the world .... Also not good!
Plus side - I recognise all the above, I just need to do something about it now! I started with the doctors - I need to keep building from there :T
Bit of a deep post for a Sunday morning.... But when my sat night consisted of catching up on soaps, a 9 pm dash to Mr T to buy pizza, 3 glasses of wine and playing games on my phone .... Something kind of clicked this morning ! I don't like my life like this .... I need to change !

Don't beat yourself up. When in a particularly dark place, I was advised to review my story or progress as if it were someone else's. If you compare you now to you a year ago, you will see how much you have achieved - and that includes prompting people like me to start tackling their issues.
